Scholarship Application
  • John Morris & Jeanne Kelly Athletic Boosters' Scholarship

    2026
  • In 1994, the FCHS Athletic Booster Club established a scholarship fund to provide recognition for student-athletes who best demonstrate the qualities of sportsmanship, commitment, dedication, sacrifice, and loyalty. The scholarship was introduced as the John Morris Scholarship - named after a former Assistant Director of Student Activities (DSA), teacher, and coach at Falls Church High School. In 2020, the scholarship was renamed to also include Jeanne Kelly who served FCHS Activities office for 17 years and retired in 2020 as the DSA.

At least two $1,500 scholarships will be awarded each year in the Spring. The award will assist at least one male and one female student-athlete to meet expenses for further education (no more than 4 scholarships will be awarded in any one year and additional scholarships, including the exact monetary amount will be at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee and funding sources). The scholarship may be used for education expenses at either a two or four-year college or university or at a technical/vocational school.
