Speakers Bureau is comprised of nurses who have been trained to deliver science-based presentation designed by FCNN. Faith communities, senior living, and community organizations can request speakers on a specific topics.
Looking for nurses who are passionate subject and enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge. Speakers should have strong communication and public speaking abilities are equally important for a successful bureau.
Interview & Training:
An interview and attendance of a train-the-trainers session is required for each speaker. The speaker will attend the session and then participate in teach backs. Their participation and performance in these activities determines whether they will become a member of the FCNN Speakers Bureau and which topic or topics they will have present on. If they are not able to attend the Train-the-Trainer Session on February 17 from 9:30 am to Noon via Zoom, the speaker will need to watch the recording , pass a knowledge assessment, and participate in a scheduled teach back.
60- 90 minute Presentation Topics Include:
- Nutrition Topics
- Healthy Eating for 1 or 2
- Label Reading 101
- Falls prevention
- Brain Health
- More topics to be added
Like with Evidence-Based Programs, Speakers will be expected to follow a specific curriculum provided by FCNN.
Speakers in our Speakers Bureau may opt to receive a stipend if presenting outside of their own faith community. Speakers are expected to present a minimum of 2 times per year, one of which being at a location outside of their own congregation. FCNN will assist in scheduling presentations in the community.
