About the course

Data Analysis - Analytics, Uncertainty and AI
This module will be held at Melbourne Business School during the week commencing 14 September 2026.

The module provides an introduction to data analysis for managerial decision-making. Students will be familiarized with the tools of data analysis, and develop the necessary skills for analytical thinking and a quantitative mindset. Students will also familiarize themselves with commonly used terminology in analytics, and the concepts behind these terms.

Applications close 5pm AEST Friday 24 July; the winners will be announced in early August.

Please limit your responses to the space provided (max character limit of 1,000 characters).   Responses over 1,000 characters may be rejected.

The selection panel is looking for concise (a maximum of 1,000 characters per answer), relevant and informative responses to the questions. In a two or three paragraph response provide a strong ‘business case’ as to why you should receive a scholarship this year. Consider how the experience of attending the MBS Masters module would assist you in your current role, in meeting your professional and career goals, and/or in achieving specific KPIs. Try to be specific, clear and direct and help the selection panel understand how the scholarship opportunity would be helpful to you.

Please upload a copy of your most recent resume to demonstrate the responsibilities in your current position, experience in the financial services industry and tertiary education (maximum 2 pages).

Your application must also be endorsed by the individual you report to. Please provide their details and upload an email or letter with their endorsement of your application. The endorsement should support your application including why they think that you are worthy of being awarded the scholarship and how the opportunity will support your leadership development.

Terms and Conditions

• Applications received after the specified deadline will not be considered

• The decision of the selection panel is final and no subsequent correspondence will be entered into

• The MBS Masters Program Scholarship is open to FEAL members only

• Applicants must be employed with their fund at the time of the Scholarship

• Successful applicants may be called upon to deliver a report to FEAL members

• FEAL Directors are not eligible to apply

• The scholarship covers tuition and accommodation. Costs outside this must be covered by the recipient
