FEAL PIMCO Institute Scholarship

The PIMCO Institute scholarship aims to help fund executives enhance their skills and knowledge, inspire new ideas and support their ongoing professional development.

Sponsored by PIMCO, this scholarship provides a unique opportunity for the successful applicant to attend the exclusive PIMCO Institute, learn from leading academics and network with professionals from around the globe. The three-day seminar emphasises content consistent with advanced academic study and incorporates a dynamic, team-based portfolio simulation exercise.

The successful applicant will be flown to PIMCO’s headquarters in Newport Beach, California where they will attend the education seminar to be held in 2027.

Please outline how the scholarship opportunity and your attendance at the PIMCO Institute will support your leadership development and contribute to your fund/organisation.

The selection panel is looking for concise (a maximum of 1,000 characters per answer), relevant and informative responses to the questions. In a two or three paragraph response provide a strong ‘business case’ as to why you should receive a scholarship this year. Consider how the experience of attending the PIMCO Institute would assist you in your current role, in meeting your professional and career goals, and/or in achieving specific KPIs. Try to be specific, clear and direct and help the selection panel understand how the scholarship opportunity would be helpful to you.

Your application must also be endorsed by the individual you report to. Please provide their details and upload an email or letter with their endorsement of your application. The endorsement should support your application including why they think that you are worthy of being awarded the scholarship and how the opportunity will support your leadership development.

Please upload a copy of your most recent resume to demonstrate the responsibilities in your current position, experience in the financial services industry and tertiary education (maximum 2 pages).

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Applications received after the specified deadline will not be considered

2. The decision of the selection panel is final and no subsequent correspondence will be entered into

3. The PIMCO Scholarship is open to FEAL members only

4. Applicants must be employed with their fund at the time of the Scholarship

5. Successful applicants may be called upon to deliver a report to FEAL members

6. FEAL Directors are not eligible to apply

7. The Scholarship covers business class travel, accommodation and tuition (travel expenses and costs outside this must be covered by the recipient)
