Job Posting: Independent Contractor – Rotary District 7305 District Executive Secretary
Rotary District 7305 is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented independent contractor to support District leadership and member clubs. This project-based role involves assisting with administrative tasks, maintaining records, coordinating communications, and managing select district projects. Work assignments will be offered based on district needs, and the contractor has the flexibility to accept or decline them.
This is a remote, independent contractor position, averaging up to 10 hours per week, with compensation based on accepted assignments. While participation in district events is encouraged, it is not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities (Project-Based Assignments May Include):
Administrative & Communication Support:
Assist with district reports, correspondence, and document organization.
Maintain and update DACdb and Rotary.org databases as needed.
Draft and distribute district-wide communications, including newsletters and updates.
Provide administrative support for district projects upon request.
Event & Meeting Coordination (Optional Participation):
Assist with scheduling and coordinating District Governor Official Visits (OVs).
Support district events such as the District Golf Outing, Million Dollar Dinner, TRF Luncheon, Spelling Bee, District Assembly, and District Conference (if available).
Help organize President-Elect Learning Seminars (PELS) and Mid-Year Review materials.
Financial & Compliance Assistance (As Assigned):
Support District Treasurer with dues collection correspondence.
Track and follow up on IRS 990 filings with clubs.
Assist with Rotary International (RI) dues tracking and reporting.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal contractor is independent, highly organized, and capable of managing projects without direct supervision.
Required Skills:
Ability to work independently, with strong time management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing needs.
Technical Proficiency:
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Familiarity with Google products (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
Working knowledge of DACdb, Canva, and video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams).
Ability to generate reports and manage data in Rotary.org.
Position Details:
Independent Contractor (1099) Status – Compensation is based on accepted and completed assignments.
Remote Work – Flexible scheduling based on project needs.
Attendance at District Events is encouraged but not required.
Term: The contractor will work for the Rotary year of the incoming District Governor-Elect, with potential renewal.
Flexible Assignment Selection:
The selected contractor may choose to accept or decline any of the following assignments based on availability and expertise:

Contract Terms:
✅ 1099 Independent Contractor Position – No employment relationship, benefits, or tax withholdings.
✅ Contractor sets their own schedule – No mandatory work hours or supervision.
✅ Compensation is based on scope of services accepted and completed, as outlined in an independent contractor agreement.
