Women’s empowerment – the strengthening and self-determination of women – concerns all of us. Whether in Switzerland or Southern Africa, we all have experiences as women that shape who we are.
Some of these experiences may be very different – yet many are surprisingly similar.
We want to create space for reflection and exchange: about the everyday strengths of being a woman, about quiet and loud struggles, about our role models, our pride, our doubts, and our dreams.
What has shaped you?
What do you want to pass on?
What has given you strength – and where do you still want to go?
With this survey, we aim to bring together voices from different contexts – authentic, diverse, and honest. Because every story matters. And because by sharing, we can learn from one another, grow – and empower other women.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us!
fepa – Fund for Development and Partnership in Africa – works hand in hand with local partner organizations to promote women’s rights, sustainable agriculture, and youth empowerment. This November, we’re excited to welcome Kumbirai Kahiya – the charismatic founder of the Girls and Women Empowerment Network (GWEN) in Zimbabwe – to Switzerland. She is a powerful advocate for the rights and opportunities of girls and women.
To mark her visit, the next edition of the fepa magazine will be dedicated entirely to the theme of girls and women – accompanied by a social media campaign that gives visibility to stories, voices, and visions.
This survey will be an important part of it.
