Welcome to Trigger Warning

Congratulations!!! You are stepping into more than an anthology. What you are stepping into is a movement of freedom, truth, and restoration. By joining this work, you are lending your voice to something bigger than yourself, something Heaven has ordained for such a time as this.

This is a faith-based, Spirit-led self-help tool designed to set the captive free, beginning in the mind, where every trigger is born (2 Corinthians 10:5). We understand that triggers are not just fleeting emotions; they are rooted in the amygdala, influencing how we think, react, and relate to the world around us. Through your willingness to face them, take self-accountability, and speak from a healed place, you are breaking cycles in your own life and helping others break free in theirs.

As visionaries, we are proud of your courage. It takes boldness to tell the truth about what once tried to control you and humility to testify about how God restored you. You are proof that our triggers—though real—are our responsibility. When we choose to heal, we not only change our lives, but we shift the atmosphere for everyone connected to us.

This project is also a safe space to process not only the triggers of your past, but the ones you may still encounter or discover through writing, reflection, and the guidance of faith-based coaches Dr. Tish Shearer, Fanta Black, or Talyiba Reinberry. Here, you will find support to write through the pain, talk through the hard parts, and emerge equipped to “strengthen your brothers and sisters” as Jesus commanded (Luke 22:32).

Your story is more than words on a page. You story is a weapon in the hands of God, a light in the darkness, and a testimony that will echo in the hearts of those who need to know that freedom is possible. Together, we will use these stories, devotionals, journal notebooks, and coaching opportunities to dismantle lies, restore hope, and release healing that reaches far beyond these pages.

Submission Guidelines

Chapter Requirements

• Word Count: 500-2,000 words depending on the package selected.
• Format: Submit as a Microsoft Word document, Arial, 12pt, double-spaced.
• Structure: 
  • Relatability – Begin by sharing your personal story in a way that allows the reader to connect with you. Be transparent about your journey and your triggers so the reader knows they are not alone.
  • Empowerment – Shift to encouraging and inspiring the reader. Share how you overcame your trigger(s) and the principles that helped you heal.
  • Instruction – Conclude with clear, actionable steps the reader can take to begin or continue their own journey toward freedom.
• Title & Author Name: Include both at the top of your chapter. Example: Set on Fire by Dr. Latisha Shearer.
• Originality: NO plagiarism. You are welcome to use AI to rephrase or refine your own wording for clarity, but the content must be your original thoughts and experiences.

Devotional Requirements *select package only

• Word Count: Maximum 500 words.
• Structure: The devotional should connect to your chapter theme or message. Include a declaration prayer that speaks freedom over the reader (not a request to God, but a bold declaration of what is already theirs in Christ). Example: “I declare that you are free from the chains of fear, that your mind is sound, and that peace flows in every part of your being.”

Journal Section Requirements

• Provide:Three thought-provoking questions related to your chapter’s topic. These do not have to be directly from your chapter but must connect to the overall theme and help the reader reflect deeply.
  Three impactful quotes from your chapter. These should be powerful, stand-alone statements that inspire or challenge the reader.
   

Final Notes
Please follow these guidelines carefully. Chapters or sections that do not meet these requirements will be returned for revision before they can be included in Trigger Warning. Remember, your voice is a vital part of this vision—you are not just writing; you are helping to set captives free in their mind, where triggers are formed. This is your opportunity to inspire transformation, healing, and empowerment in others.

IMPORTANT DATES & DEADLINES

February 1, 2026 – Bio Submission
Email your written bio to Dr. Tish Shearer at ferventlycreations@gmail.com.

Your bio must be written in third person.
At the end of your bio, include all social media handles, website(s), and email address(es) so readers can connect with you.

March 1, 2026 – Photo Submission
Email your photo(s) to Tish Shearer at ferventlycreations@gmail.com.

Submit a professional "looking" headshot.
No selfies will be accepted. If your photo is not professional "looking", it will not be included in any book graphics or the publication itself. No exceptions.

April 1, 2026 – Manuscript Submission
Email your completed anthology chapter, devotional, and journal entry to Tish Shearer at ferventlycreations@gmail.com.

The editorial team will review your work to ensure it aligns with the vision of Trigger Warning before editing begins.
If revisions are needed to meet the vision, your submission will be returned with notes for adjustments.
Grammar and formatting edits will be sent back for your review. You will have 48 hours to return your revised submission once you receive it.
Note: You will only receive your submission from the editing once, so check it carefully before sending back your approval.

May 1, 2026 – Final Payment Due
All remaining balances must be paid in full by May 1, 2026.

If payment is not received by this date, your chapter will not be included in the final publication and you will loose your retreat spot.

Virtual Book Launch June TBD

At present, only a virtual book launch is scheduled.
An in-person launch may be added, depending on author participation and availability.
 

All this information will not be determine before January 1.

BOOK SELLS & PROMOTIONS:

The official book launch day will be the only date we collectively promote book sales through Amazon.com. One week prior to the launch, each author will be required to purchase at least one copy of the book—this may be the paperback, audiobook, and/or Kindle edition—directly from Amazon to help boost rankings.

As an author, you are encouraged and authorized to promote the book on your own platforms, including websites, social media pages, book signings, speaking engagements, and other events. You may also set up your own sales platform (such as a website, landing page, JotForm, etc.) to manage your personal book sales.

You will be provided with professionally designed promotional graphics for the launch. By participating in this project, you agree to share these graphics across all your social media platforms and websites. Please ensure you add Dr. Tish Shearer, Fanta Black, Taliyba Reinberry and the other authors as Facebook connections so you can be tagged in official author announcements and promotional posts.

PAYMENT GUIDELINES:

A deposit of $100 is required to reserve your spot in the anthology and is due within 72 hours of signing the contract. *If you chose Tier One $43.20 is due at the time of invoice.

Receive a credit to your account for every person that you get that joins Tier 1 ($10) Tier 2 ($50) Tier 3 ($100) or Tier 4 ($150).

Each author will receive an invoice. Payments will be split into four payments, with all final payment due not later than April 1st, 2026. If you want to pay in full, please contact Dr. Tish Shearer to adjust your invoice and recieve a discount.

NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.

Author Contribution Tiers

Tier One – $43.20
Includes:

One chapter in the Trigger Warning anthology
Audiobook and Kindle (digital format of the anthology only)
Three (3) Transformational Group Coaching Sessions led by our coaching team. These session will be recorded for those that are not availble to join us live. Please remember it is hard to find a time available that all will be availble.

These sessions are:

Writing From a Healed Place
Understanding How Trauma Forms Triggers
Recognizing and Disarming Emotional Triggers

Chapter submission is 500-1000 word count

Included in Group Flyer 
Professional editing of your submission
Note: This tier does not include the individual flyer, devotional, journal, no option to speak during the book launch or retreat option.

Tier Two – $432.00
Includes everything in Tier One, plus:

• Chapter Submission increase 1000-1500 word count
• Participation in the Virtual Book Launch
• One additional book launch promotional graphic for social media sharing

Note: This tier does not include the devotional or journal

Tier Three – $864
Includes everything in Tier Two, plus:

• Chapter Submission increase 1500-2000
• Devotional/Journal Submision 500 words 
• Spotlight Author Quotes Feature during the promotional rollout

Tier Four - $1296

Includes everything in Tier Three, plus

• Four coaching sessions with either Dr. Tish, Fanta Black, or Taliyba Reinberry. Sessions are 45 minutes.

Coaching is tailored to address one specific trigger.
You will receive a questionnaire to determine the best coach for your needs. The schedule will be arranged between you and your assigned coach. You may begin the coaching process prior to writing, if you wish to document your journey in alignment with the submission requirements.

Six-week prerequisite course for The Equipping Retreat
Three-day ALL INCLUSIVE Equipping Retreat (Location and date to be announced)

Includes breakthrough sessions, spiritual equipping, and prophetic impartation. Designed for those ready to be healed, equipped, and released into next-level authority. You do not have to be in ministry to attend. Date and location will be finalized in April 2026.
Special Note: The retreat is not limited to anthology authors. It will also be open to outside participants for $1,250. The five exclusive anthology author spots are first-come, first-served and may be removed if the retreat reaches capacity before these spots are filled.
