    We are so excited to begin the journey toward our 2027 season, and we can’t wait to meet you on the floor. Please read through the information below carefully before completing your registration. This form should take 10-15 minutes to complete. You can save and come back to it at anytime.

    Our Audition Experience Clinic gives you the chance to experience an independent-unit audition, learn choreography, and have some fun alongside our 2027 auditions—without auditioning for a spot in the cast.

    Important Dates & Costs

    Sunday, October 4 – Auditions

    • 9:30 AM–5:00 PM | Doors open at 9:15 AM
    • Required for all performers interested in marching with FIG 2027. Technique exercises and audition choreography will be taught this day.
    • Cost: $35 (includes any callback participation)

    Saturday, October 18 – Callbacks

    • 9:30 AM–5:30 PM | Doors open at 9:15 AM
    • Required for all performers interested in marching with FIG 2027. Callbacks give our staff additional time to evaluate skills, growth, and ensemble fit before making final casting decisions.
    • Cost: Included in your audition fee — no additional cost!

    Location for both Auditions and Callbacks to be announced (we are finalizing details!). They will be in Metro Atlanta area.

    If you have scheduling conflicts with either of the above days, contact us as soon as possible so we can work with you. In-person evaluations are preferred, and video auditions will be accepted on a case-by-case basis.


    About the Season

    For 2027, FIG Independent will compete in Independent A Class at both SAPA and WGI competitions, with our season culminating in a trip to Dayton, Ohio for WGI World Championships! 

    Members cannot be over the age of 22 as of April 1, 2027. While FIG is geared towards performers age 18+, we will accept performers under the age of 18 on a case-by-case basis — please contact us.

    View our tentative season calendar here. Please make a note of any personal/family winter vacation plans and spring break plans. Attendance at all rehearsals, camps, and competitions is required for membership

    Membership dues will be determined by membership numbers (the more members, the cheaper the fees!). Current estimate is $1900-2100. Member dues help cover the full cost of the 2027 season, including instructional staff, rehearsal facilities, hotel accommodations for away competitions and championships, and competition fees. Dues also cover costuming, additional apparel, and the equipment needed for our productions, including flags, rifles, sabres, floor tarp, props, and more.

    Rehearsals will be primarily located at Marietta Sixth Grade Academy. Limited camps and rehearsals may be located at Woodland High School in Cartersville, GA.

  • Financial Obligations

  • Membership dues for the 2027 season are estimated to be $1900-2100 (final amount determined by number of performers). This will be finalized by Callbacks.

    Fundraising opportunities will be available and members will keep everything that they fundraise (minus any operating fees from running a specific fundraiser). The budget is set so that the entire operating cost of the season is reliant on members paying 100% of their dues.

    There may be some group fundraisers that support the program as a whole that members are expected to participate in.

    Vet discounts will be available.

    All members fees must be paid by March 1, 2027. Alternative payment plans will be discussed on a one-on-one basis.

  • Liability Waiver

    I agree that FIG Performing Arts LLC, FIG Independent Winterguard, the host school, and their respective employees, agents, staff, and representatives will not be held responsible for any injuries sustained by the above-named individual during participation with FIG Independent activities. I am also aware of the risks involved in marching, dancing, and spinning flags, rifles, and sabres. If I have a previous medical condition that limits my mobility or participation, I agree to notify staff so that they may make accommodations for my participation. If I require medical assist devices (wraps, braces, etc.) I agree to wear those to prevent injury to myself. Additionally, I give my consent to receive medical treatment promptly and without delay if it becomes necessary. No medical operations will be conducted without the parent or guardian being informed of the situation.

  • Photo/Media Release

    I hereby consent and agree that FIG Performing Arts, LLC, along with its employees or agents, have the right to take photographs and/or video recordings of myself and to use these items in any and all media, now or hereafter, and exclusively for the purpose of FIG Performing Arts, LLC. I further consent that my name may be revealed therein or by descriptive text or commentary.
