2MBS Fine Music Sydney Student Composer Competition ENTRY FORM

2MBS Fine Music Sydney radio station needs theme music to introduce our CLASS ACT program which broadcasts performances by secondary school students throughout the year.

We're inviting students from yr 7 to Yr 12 to compose a brisk and rhythmic piece of instrumental music, 30 to 60 seconds long for a small ensemble – example: piano trio, quartet. Genre: no pop or rock (not our thing).

First prize of $200 with two encouragement awards of $100 each. The judges' decision is final. Winners will be announced by email and on our website Friday 19 December 2025.

Submit ONE entry for each composition. You may submit multiple compositions but
you will not be eligible for more than one prize.

The selected music will remain the composer’s copyright property, but they will sign an agreement that 2MBS can broadcast it anytime without payment.
