    • SCHEDULE AND APPOINTMENT
    • YOUR APPOINTMENT:
I ask that you come on time. I usually have 1-2 clients a day depending on the projects I have. So please be considerate of my time.

My assistant sends confirmation emails the Saturday before your appointment. This email includes directions and other additional information that would be useful to know.

We also require a reply to this email to fully confirm you are still attending. Or any notification if you need to reschedule/cancel.

      RESCHEDULING:
If you cannot make your appointment and need to reschedule, I urge you to notify me ideally one week before our appointment. But the earlier the better so I can find a replacement.

We will then figure out a slot in the next booking period that suits you, and your initial deposit gets carried over.
However, if you reschedule with me 24 hours before our appointment, another deposit of $150 will be required. If you have reschedule with me twice, another deposit of $150 will be required.

If you need to cancel entirely, your deposit is automatically forfeited.

If you no call, no show, you are blacklisted. I cannot tolerate disrespecting my time.

      CANCELLATIONS:
If you cannot make your appointment due to either financial or other circumstances, that's totally fine! Just please let me know prior to your initial scheduled appointment so I can find a replacement.

This also means that your deposit is forfeited to cover administration and other back-end duties.

You can always reach back out whenever you're ready or submit another form when books open.

    • GENERAL
    • WHEN ARE YOUR BOOKS OPEN?

I open my books 2 months out. Usually on the 3rd Satuday of the month.

All updates and announcements will be made in my newsletter (subscribe here)

HOW DO I BOOK WITH YOU?

You can only book through my newsletter. If you're interested in booking with me, please subscribe here.

I'm only focusing on freehand projects.

      WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

I work at Yarrow Studio which is based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Information on exact location will be provided when I send the confirmation email prior to our appointment.

      WHAT DAYS DO YOU WORK?

      I work Tuesdays-Thursdays.

IS THERE PARKING WHERE YOUR LOCATED?

There is street parking around the building. But if you prefer, and have the means, there is a parking garage nearby on 21 India Street. There's an app called Spot Hero that helps you book in advance.

I'M COMING FROM OUT OF TOWN...

If you're travelling from out of town, especially on public transportation (plane, bus or train), I highly recommend if you can manage it to come the day before your appointment to avoid possible delays or cancellations of your trip. This also allows you to give yourself ample time to be prepared for our session: eating a proper meal, getting physically and mentally prepared and allowing yourself the space to feel relaxed rather than stressed.

Also, if you are from out of town looking to get tattooed, please be aware that I only work Tuesday-Thursday. So schedule your travel plans accordingly.

      HOW ABOUT BIKE PARKING?

There are posts you can lock your bike up in front of the building.

      DO YOU TRAVEL FOR TATTOOING?

YES! I have honestly been really terrible and blocking out dates for travel. But when I do, I often announce it via Newsletter and Instagram stories and posts.

Absolutely! In my booking form, you can state what your budget is for the tattoo (see pricing structure above).

I also encourage folks to come back and continue/extend if they wish to have a bigger piece but rather do it in installments.

Cash is preferred, but Venmo and Zelle is also available.

Deposits are non-refundable. This usually pays for all the back-end work I need to do aside from drawing and tattooing.

      REFUNDS

I will only issue deposit refunds if:

      1. It's become too complicated to get you into my books.

      2. If the project isn't suitable for my style.

    • TRAVEL AND GUEST SPOTS
    • DO YOU TRAVEL FOR TATTOOING?

Yes I do! If I'm not travelling as much now, I plan to add more guest spots to my future plans.

HOW CAN I POTENTIALLY KNOW WHEN AND WHERE YOU'RE TRAVELLING?

I highly suggest signing up to my newsletter. I make frequent announcements regarding my bookings, projects coming up and future guest spots. But also keep an eye out on any posts or stories I make on Instagram.

HOW LONG DO YOUR GUEST SPOTS RUN?

It depends. My preference is 7-10 days with 4-6 actual working days. That information will be made available in my newsletter.

    • COLOUR-RELATED
    • DO YOU DO COLOUR TESTS?

I do! Especially for BIPOC who are interested to know how colours heal on them. I offer free colour tests to anyone.

You can request a colour test with me in the request form.

      HOW DO COLOUR TESTS WORK?

Usually you fill out a colour test request in the link in my bio. Colour tests are separate from an appointment; it doesn't guarantee you a spot for a full session with me. This is because colour tests offer a glimpse into how colours heal on your skin and in order for that to happen, we need to do the session separately, allow the skin to heal to see how the colours settle to your body and then you can decide if you wish to request a full-colour or a monochrome project.

I schedule colour tests once I have all available slots accounted for and could squeeze you into my schedule where I see fit. It doesn't take long (usually under an hour) to complete the process so colour test requests will be attended to after I've booked my full sessions. So expect a slight delay to get you on my books.

      CAN I ADJUST FLASH COLOURS?

You can. I am flexible to discuss this with you in person before we begin our appointment. Bear in mind that each colour I pick for the design is specifically for balance and flow of all the elements. I prefer not to change the entire colour scheme, however 1 or 2 colours are okay with me.

I always adjust the colours based on a person's skin tone so that the end result is of high-quality.

CAN I TALK TO YOU MORE ABOUT COLOUR?

Absolutely! I encourage people to share their thoughts, concerns or curiosities with me regarding this part of my tattoo practice.

If I can shed some light on how I work and how I came about what information I have, as well as opening the conversation about colour tattoos on a variety of skin tones, then I'm pleased to take the time to do so.

While I've acquired the information I have, I am not ending my pursuit of learning more. I am turning my attention to BIPOC artists to further educate myself and practice.

I AM BIPOC AND I'M HESTITANT TO GET COLOURED TATTOOS.

I 100% understand. Most important point to make is that I never turn a client away for their skin tone. I work closely with my clients on the day of our appointment to adjust colours that ensures the quality and longevity of my tattoos that best suits each person's skin tone.

CAN I MAKE A FULL-COLOUR FLASH DESIGN INTO A MONOCHROME?

      I'm afraid you can't.

CAN I MAKE A MONOCHROME FLASH DESIGN INTO FULL-COLOUR/TWO-TONE PIECE?

Yes you can! I would like to know this decision prior to so I can prepare for our appointment. But bear in mind, I won't be able to provide you a draft so this would have to be discussed further in person.

    • FREEHAND QUESTIONS
    • HOW DO FREEHAND PROJECTS WORK?

Unlike Custom and Flash projects, it involves a much heavier collaboration process. Therefore, I suggest blocking off a whole day with me as it would be preferred to execute this project to the best of my abilities.

Usually how it works is after receiving your submission and the slot you selected, you will receive an email from my assistant confirming everything went through fine.

On the day you selected, you will come in and begin consultation with me. This is just to get a better understanding in person and discussing what you're looking for in further detail.

We will go over elements you love and don't love to include in the piece, as well as what your maximum size you're willing to go so that I get the basics before drawing directly on your skin.

Then it's a process of working together removing/adding elements, until you are satisfied with how it looks overall. Bear in mind that the pen I do use is a lot thicker than the needles I'll eventually use. So don't worry about it looking too bold, all that will change when tattooing begins.

Once we got the drawing done, we will discuss colour together if you chose full-colour. If you chose monochrome in one colour, we will discuss which colour speaks to you for this particular piece.

When everything is set and down, we'll take a small break and begin the tattoo.

HOW MUCH IS A FREEHAND PIECE?

It will fluctuate depending on size, colour, time it took to draw and amend the piece. Medium pieces start at $500 and for larger-scale, my day rate starts at $1,200 and that will vary depending on the variables mentioned.

IS THERE ANY POSSIBILTY OF ME SEEING THE DRAFT OF WHAT I'M GETTING?

In this type of work, no. If you want to see what it'll look like before coming to your appointment, the custom project is best suited for you.

The idea is that is mirrors the practice of painting for me in a more collaborative setting. The beauty of freehand is that I really get to do this with you and being able to physically see what I'm working with on your body. I usually look out for beauty spots, birthmarks, stretch marks and any uniqueness in your skin that might inspire me to work with.

       WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

Expect a lot of conversations going, and expect it to be a relatively long day. In both cases for me and you, patience is going to be required. But nevertheless, the studio is equipped with snacks, water, and more treats to make you feel comfortable hanging out for the whole day. I aim to make this experience enjoyable.

      EXTENTIONS AND ADDITIONS

Are you in the position where you have a tight budget but you're interested in getting a large-scale piece? Not to fret! I understand people have budgets that they need to stick to, and I also understand that some times you're really wanting something bigger. That's the beauty about abstract pieces. There's no set size or the piece is never finished until you feel it is. We can always look at it as creaeting a sleeve or larger back piece in installments, and work our way in multiple sessions until you are at the point it's finished.

So, once you get your first piece from me, and further down the line you look at it, and say, I want to add to it. You absolutely can! All of my existing clients does not need to wait for books to open or submit another form. You can always email my assistant back requesting an extension to the current piece you have, and we will simply get back to you and get you on the books.

Please don't feel pressure to get everything done in one session (whether you initially submitted for a larger piece or desire something bigger). We can always work on it in sessions and therefore, your budget doesn't get pinched in one payment and instead, can work on the piece based on how much you can pay at a time.

    • FLASH QUESTIONS (not accepting at the moment)
    •

HOW DOES BOOKING WORK WITH YOU?

My *new* booking system (a work-in-progress) is a two-parter process. The idea is to eliminate the pressures of submitting and going through the form properly.

Part I: is inputting your personal and contact information. I've programmed Part I to only receive the maximum submission based on the slots I have available. Filling Part I is a good way to get in the queue to continue completing your submission without the pressure of going through everything at once.

Once I've received that max. I will notify who went through and who couldn't. If you couldn't, you're put on a waitlist for the next round. If you went through, you'll receive a follow-up email with a second link to Part II to complete your booking. I will only release Part II to everyone in smaller batches as to not overwhelm everyone involved.

Part II: selecting a design and slot, and paying your deposit.

Once we've got everyone who went through to Part II accounted for, we will send a final email confirming everything went through fine.

      HOW DOES YOUR WAITLIST WORK?

Waitlist is only for those who couldn't make it in a round. Waitlist is maximum 10 people to be fair for those who aren't on it.

People on this list will be notified prior to my books going public, I usually send the Part I link between 1st-10th of the month.

HOW DO I RESERVE A FLASH DESIGN?

You would have to wait until my request form goes live on my Instagram link. I will upload new designs on my Instagram posts and my website. However, reserving it would have to be done on the form with a deposit.

WHAT IF THE FLASH I WANT IS SOLD OUT?

Then I'm afraid it isn't available anymore. I only do flash designs once.

AFTER RESERVING A DESIGN, HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO CHANGE IT?

I only allow 2 weeks to change your mind. Changing it becomes extremely hectic for my assistant and I to manage, as it would require figuring out which design you want to swap your initial one with. Therefore, we would cancel your initial submission, re-release the one you don't want anymore, and have you resubmit another request with the design you actually want.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU RELEASE NEW DESIGNS?

It takes me a while to produce a good body of work but I aim to consistently release new ones in between books opening.

WHAT IF I SEE THE DESIGN I WANT BUT YOUR BOOKS ARE CLOSED?

Then you would still have to wait, and hope you are able to reserve the design you want when my books open.

FOR FLASH, CAN I REQUEST A CHANGE IN COLOUR SCHEME?

I will only allow minor changes. Changing the entire colour scheme is not permitted. Flash designs are as is, unless 1 or 2 colours doesn't agree with you, then we can discuss this further on the day of your appointment in person.

CAN I CHANGE MY PLACEMENT EVEN AFTER SUBMITTING A REQUEST?

Yes you can! I ask for placement ahead of time to prepare my station but if you decide later on you want it someone else, we can definitely do that.

CAN I SUBMIT A REQUEST OUTSIDE OF YOUR OPEN TIMEFRAME?

      Unfortunately, no.

CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO A FLASH DESIGN?

No. Flash designs are as is. Please understand that all designs I publish are created with a concept in mind.

CAN I RESERVE MORE THAN ONE DESIGN?

No you can't. I encourage people to refrain from submitting more than once as this gives other people the chance to claim a design they want as well. However, if you still see the design(s) you wanted in the next round of bookings, then you are encourage to submit.

I LIVE OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY/STATE, CAN I PURCHASE A DESIGN FOR ANOTHER TATTOO ARTIST TO DO?

At this moment, it's a hard no. I always plan guest spots in different parts of the country as well as going abroad. I prefer to do my tattoos for you so I can meet and experience the moment together.

CAN I FLIP A DESIGN TO ACCOMMODATE THE PLACEMENT?

      Yes you can!
