The African Development Bank, through its Innovation and Entrepreneurship Lab, is opening a three-month program for 80 African LPs, delivered by Investisseurs & Partenaires.
Participation is free of charge. The program is delivered in English.
Who it is for. Institutions that hold or manage capital and invest (or plan to invest) in venture capital in Africa (through funds, co-investments or direct deals), and the people within them who can make or shape that decision. The cohort is deliberately mixed: some participants are still deciding whether venture capital has a place in their allocation, others already have a first commitment behind them.
What it involves. Eight practitioner-led sessions of two hours and a two-day applied bootcamp, entirely online and in English. About twenty-six hours in total between 10 December 2026 and the end of February 2027, plus a short survey at the start and another at the end. What this program is NOT: a theoretical course on venture capital. It will connect you with Africa’s leading venture capitalists and the investors who have backed them, to provide you with a practical guide on how to invest in venture capital.
Key dates. Applications close on Friday 30 October 2026 at 23:59 GMT. The cohort is announced on 6 November, and every applicant hears from us either way.
Before you start. The form takes about five minutes. It cannot be saved and resumed, so read it through first. Questions marked * are required. An institution may put forward up to two participants on one form.
Your answers are seen only by the evaluation team and the selection committee. They are never published, and appear in program reporting in aggregated, anonymized form only.
Questions may be addressed to info.lpfellowship@ietp.com at any point before the deadline.
Looking forward to your participation!
