Age of Home - Year of Construction
Have you tested for Radon? WHAT WAS THE RADON LEVEL?
Where did you test? Basement, Main Level, Crawl space?
What is your role? You live in the home? Realtor? Selling Agent? Listing Agent? Something else?
Do you have a basement? Full? Partial?
How many square feet is the basement? Is the basement finished or unfinished?
What is your basement floor like? A typical concrete slab that sits on soil? A floating concrete or wooden engineered floor (newer homes usually.) IF concrete...few cracks, medium cracks? Tons of cracks?
Next 3 Questions Re: Crawlspaces can be skipped if you don't have a crawlspace :)
CRAWL SPACE 1 -- Is there a crawl space or any exposed dirt in the basement? If so...is there already a vapor barrier in place? Is it sealed to the foundation?
CRAWL SPACE 2 - If you DO have a crawlspace...can you give us more details? How many square feet? IS it just one big room or multiple rooms? How much head room / clearance is there? What else can you tell us about it?
CRAWL SPACE 3 -- Are the furnace or hot water heaters in the crawl space?
SUMP PIT 1 Do you have a sump pit for a sump pump? (This is usually like a plastic Barrel sunk in your basement floor where water below your slab could accumulate. ) (It often has plastic pipes coming in the side.) (Typically found in homes newer than 1980 or so) In a modern sump drainage system there is usually a perimeter drain attached. Do you know if your sump pit has a perimeter drain?
SUMP PIT 2 -- If you have one, it is accessible? (Not in a finished area?) The reason we ask it that we can connect to it if it exists. Think about it this way...that drain system is a super-highway for soil gasses (radon) to move around under your house and often get in. But connecting to this and REVERSING the flow..we can often get VERY low radon levels. (On the other hand..if this exists and we don't use it...it is always working against us and raising radon levels.)
Do you have an attached garage? IS there living space ABOVE the attached garage? (These can sometimes be used as part of a radon system but there are a number of factors that can limit this.)
Have there been any additions made to the home since it was built? New rooms? Additions? Enclosed patios? Dug-out basements? Etc?
What is the total square footage of the home including the basement? For instance 1000 square foot basement, 1000 square foot main level, 1000 square foot upper level? Help us get a sense of the overall layout of your house? If
Exterior of the House? ---- Ranch / One story? Two story? Tri Level? Walkout basement? Brick? Stucco? Siding?
What is most important to you? Low price? High Quality?
How Important Are Radon LEVEL guarantees? We generally guarantee levels which means we keep working on it until it passes. Many many many companies guarantee everything BUT levels ( workmanship, Parts, materials, ingredients, pieces, labor) however if the system doesn't work you have to keep paying until it does work. We only do that on exceptionally tricky homes. So let us know if these levels guarantees are important to you.
How can we make this form better ( how can we make the process easier for you?)
What other specific questions do you have? What to expect next: We will either email a proposal based on the info you submitted for call or email for more details. We're always eager to answer any questions you have.
