Details:
Duration: 4 nights / 5 days (Wednesday evening–Sunday)
What’s included:
Lodging, daily breakfast & dinner, morning yoga, daily guided mountain bike rides, evening stretch/yoga, evening fit pit & stargazing.
Earth Shine Lodge:
The main lodge has 8 rooms and a cottage designed to provide a one-of-a-kind experience. Built in 1990 from the original wood on the property, the boutique nature lodge has all the architectural elements that you would expect from a rustic mountain lodge – stone fireplaces, antler chandeliers, creaky wood floors, and much more. There are 8 private rooms in the lodge, each with their own bathroom, a queen bed on the lower level and a loft with two twins.
Meals:
Delicious breakfasts will energize us for the rides and amazing dinners will satisfy our bellies after an awesome day on the trail. The Earth Shine lodge believes that great food is an important part of the experience, using locally sourced food, the chefs will do their best to cater to food allergies and preferences. All breakfast and dinners are included. Lunches will be on your own.
Ability Level: Advanced mountain bike riders — comfortable with long rides 4+ hours (with some breaks) and technical terrain. Pisgah is renowned for techy, rooty terrain – with many waterfall sightings along the way.
Rates
$1000/ per person shared room - $250 deposit due now, remaining deposit due March 15, 2027
$1800 /per person for a private room (limited availability) - $250 deposit due now, remaining deposit due March 15, 2027
A payment reminder and instructions for credit card payments will be emailed to you before payments are due.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
The $250 deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances.
Important: Refunds, if applicable, will not exceed the amount recoverable after fixed, committed, or non-refundable expenses have been deducted — including but not limited to accommodations, vendor contracts, transportation, and administrative costs.
Cancellation by Anne Cochrane
If Anne Cochrane must cancel the retreat due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of all amounts paid directly to us will be issued. Anne Cochrane is not responsible for airfare, travel insurance, or other incidental travel-related expenses incurred by participants.
Not included:
Snacks and Lunch’s, transportation to retreat and trailheads, optional activity fees.
Terms, Conditions & Participant Agreement
Nature of the Retreat — Not Therapy
While Anne Cochrane, MSW, LCSW is a licensed mental health practitioner, participation in this retreat does not constitute therapy, psychotherapy, counseling, or healthcare services of any kind. This retreat is not intended to diagnose, treat, or address any physical or mental health condition and should not be considered a substitute for professional healthcare services.
Participation in this retreat does not establish a clinician-client relationship. Legal rules governing healthcare confidentiality and privilege do not apply. Should you experience a condition requiring professional care, referral resources can be provided upon request.
Health & Medical Responsibility
By signing this agreement, you confirm that you have consulted or will consult a physician before participation and that you are voluntarily choosing to attend. You agree to disclose to us, in writing and in advance, any medical conditions, physical limitations, or other factors that may affect your ability to safely participate in retreat activities.
Participants may be excluded from activities if concealed health issues or behavior poses a risk to themselves or others. Removal under these circumstances does not entitle the participant to a refund.
Acceptance of Risk & Waiver of Liability
I voluntarily consent to my participation in the Sacred Trees Retreat and understand that physical and experiential activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, emotional distress, or in extreme cases, death. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to assess and prepare for these risks.
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Anne Cochrane and her affiliates, contractors, and representatives from any claims, losses, or damages arising from my participation in this retreat.
Privacy
We are committed to respecting participant privacy throughout the retreat. However, please be aware that legal rules of healthcare confidentiality do not apply, as participation does not establish a clinical relationship.
Photography & Video Consent
By signing this document, I authorize Anne Cochrane to make photographic and/or video recordings of my participation in the retreat for use in marketing, advertising, and educational materials. This consent may be revoked in writing at any time by emailing anne@sacredtreesretreats.com.
Intellectual Property
All retreat materials, content, and intellectual property remain the sole property of Anne Cochrane. Participants may not record, redistribute, resell, or otherwise misuse retreat materials or content without prior written consent.
Solicitation Policy
No solicitation or self-promotion is permitted during the retreat unless explicitly approved in advance by Anne Cochrane.
Grievances
Any grievances must be submitted in writing to anne@sacredtreesretreats.com and will be addressed within 5–10 business days.

By signing this document, I confirm that I have read, fully understand, and voluntarily agree to all terms, conditions, financial obligations, cancellation policies, and participation requirements outlined above.
