    Tickets for workshops are sold on a sliding scale and we encourage you to pay according to your available resources. Those with greater financial privilege contribute more, allowing those with less access to pay according to their means. This allows Franconia to sustain its services while making accessibility as broad as possible. Sliding scale prices can be seen in the dropdown menus.

    Spoon Carving - April 5, 1-4PMLearn how to carve a spoon from a fresh cut tree using traditional Nordic carving techniques. We cover tree anatomy, axing out a blank (roughed out spoon shape), knife holds for the hook & sloyd knife, drying, and finishing. This class is great for the beginner or the person wanting to learn Sloyd style carving. This workshop is 12+ and participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult who is also taking the class.

    Zine Making - May 31, 1-4PMBrowse zines from the Late Night Copies Press zine library, and learn everything you need to make 8-page zines with collage, typewriters, xerox transfers, and a photocopier. After copying, plan to exchange your zine with the rest of the class and go home with a starter zine collection.

  • Stained Glass ONLY: Design Selection

    Please select which design(s) you (and your companions) want to create below. The number of selected designs below should match the quantity of tickets purchased. If you have any questions or can't select designs immediately, you can email the teacher directly at abby.kosberg@gmail.com

    Colors may be slightly different in the final design. Diving Lady design will use a medium skin tone. If you'd like to personalize the skin tone, you can reach out to Abby at abby.kosberg@gmail.com.

    PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY

    I hereby give my permission for images of me and each of the participants in my party captured during the workshop through video, photo, and digital means, to be used solely for the purposes of Franconia Sculpture Park promotional material, publications and grant reporting, in print and online, and I waive any rights of compensation or ownership thereto.

    REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

    No refunds will be given in the event that participants are unable to attend a workshop. On a case by case basis, Franconia may allow people to transfer their registration to a different workshop.

    In the case of cancellation due to weather or other extenuating circumstance, Franconia Sculpture Park will attempt to reschedule the workshop. In the event that this is not possible, a full refund will be returned to each participant.

    RELEASE OF LIABILITY

    I understand that this workshop requires light physical activity and that Franconia is not responsible or liable for injury.
