  • There are multiple possible awards included in this application. Eligibility for the various awards is based on your position/title and institution. Each January/July cycle may offer different awards. Expenses and travel for these awards MUST be completed and paid by May 29, 2026. The following awards are:


    Student-Postdoc Advisory Committee (SPAC) Course Scholarship

    Course scholarships are sponsored by SPAC and are available to Fred Hutch graduate students, postdocs/research associates, and medical fellows. Scholarships are available for those who wish to further their training and can be on any subject that you can justify will further your career goals. The scholarships are for up to $1,500 or the cost of the course, whichever is less.


    Student-Postdoc Advisory Committee (SPAC) Conference Travel Award

    Conference awards sponsored by SPAC and are available to Fred Hutch graduate students, postdocs/research associates, and medical fellows. Travel Awards are available for those who would like to attend a conference but don't have the existing funds. Preference will be given to those presenting a poster or talk. The scholarships are for up to $1,500 or the cost of attending the conference, whichever is less.

    The Fred Hutch/University of Washington/Seattle Children's Cancer Consortium Trainee Travel Award.

    This awards is available to postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and medical fellows whose faculty advisor is a member of the Fred Hutch/University of Washington/ Seattle Children's Cancer Consortium. Faculty members can be found on the Cancer Consortium website. The scholarship can be applied to registration, travel, and accommodation costs for any conference that will further their professional development. The award is for up to $1,500 or the cost of the conference, whichever is less.
