DECLARATION OF OUT-OF-FACULTY MAJOR AND MINORS
Students applying to declare an Out-of-Faculty major or minor(s) are asked to note that permission must be granted by the Deans of both Faculties in order for their records to be duly updated. Students must therefore submit a separate email request to the FST’s Dean Office using the email address: FST.Undergraduate@sta.uwi.edu to declare any out-of-faculty major or minor(s). The request would be reviewed by the FST and submitted to the relevant Faculty on your behalf for consideration. Once approval is received from the relevant Faculty, the request would be sent to the Admissions Office to update your records. Students are reminded to use their UWI email addresses for all official correspondence.
Students desirous of pursuing a major in a Faculty other than FST must apply for and obtain official approval from that Faculty before pursuing the major. The request should ideally be submitted at the end of Year I and before the start of the new academic year for consideration by the relevant Faculty.
Students applying to declare an out-of-faculty minor(s) must submit their requests by the end of the registration period in their final semester or when they have already passed all but one of the minor courses and have registered for the final outstanding course to complete the minor.
