Microfunds are now available to support GAIA & BFFP U.S. members’ short-term projects or activities related to waste and justice, including zero waste, food waste prevention, incineration and so-called "chemical recycling, plastics and petrochemicals, landfill methane, and EV battery-related harms. This year, GAIA is able to support 16 organizations with microfunds of $2,500 each. These unrestricted funds will support grassroots-led, community-driven projects, activities, or events that will take place between August 1, 2026, and July 30, 2027.
