While admiring a Book Plate designed by German Expressionist Bruecke artist Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, Sharon Kopriva mentioned that it would be interesting to hold an exhibition of bookplates.
For five hundred years, numerous artists including Duerer, Chagall, Beardsley, and Kent have been commissioned to create Ex LIBRIS plates for various owners who treasured their books. We invite you to submit a design for our upcoming exhibition.
