• American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED Certified Training

    Be prepared to respond when every second counts. This American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED course provides participants with the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiac emergencies. Participants will learn how to recognize cardiac arrest, perform high-quality CPR, and safely use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Through instruction and hands-on practice, students will build the confidence to take action during an emergency until professional help arrives. Topics include: Recognizing a cardiac emergency, Performing high-quality CPR, Using an AED safely and effectively, Responding quickly and appropriately in an emergency, and Hands-on CPR and AED practice. No prior experience is required. This course is appropriate for community members, workplace personnel, volunteers, and anyone who wants to be better prepared for an emergency. American Red Cross certification is provided upon successful completion of the course.

  • Registration Requirements: This class is open to non-members and GCGC members.

    Class Prerequisite: None

    Class Requirements: 15 years old or older. Participants are encouraged to bring a notebook/pen to take notes.

    Class Location: Class location will be provided upon registration confirmation.

    Class Fee: $60.00 ($25 for class + $35 for certification)

  • 1. Gallatin Community Gun Club

    I understand that participation in CPR/AED training involves hands-on activities and physical exertion. Activities may include, but are not limited to, kneeling, bending, standing, lifting, performing chest compressions and rescue breaths on training manikins, practicing with AED training devices, and participating in simulated emergency-response scenarios.

    2. Assumption of Risk

    I understand that participation in this course may involve risks, including but not limited to muscle soreness, strains, sprains, joint discomfort, fatigue, dizziness, falls, allergic reactions, aggravation of pre-existing medical conditions, or other injuries associated with physical activity and hands-on training.

    I voluntarily choose to participate in this training and knowingly assume the risks associated with participation.

    3. Health & Physical Limitations

    I understand that I am responsible for determining whether I am physically able to participate safely in course activities. I agree to inform the instructor of any physical limitation, injury, medical concern, or need for an accommodation that may affect my ability to safely participate.

    I understand that I may stop participating in an activity at any time if I feel unable to continue safely.

    I understand that successful completion and certification may require demonstrating competency in skills established by the American Red Cross.

    4. Release of Liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I voluntarily release and hold harmless Gallatin Community Gun Club (GCGC), its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, instructors, agents, and representatives, as well as the owner or operator of the facility where the training occurs, from claims arising from the ordinary and inherent risks associated with my voluntary participation in this training.

    This release is not intended to waive rights or claims that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

    5. Emergency Medical Care

    If I become injured or experience a medical emergency during the course, I authorize GCGC instructors, volunteers, or representatives to contact emergency medical services and provide or arrange reasonable emergency assistance when appropriate.

    I understand that I am responsible for medical expenses incurred as a result of my participation, except where otherwise required by law.

    6. Training Equipment

    I agree to use all CPR manikins, AED trainers, barrier devices, and other training equipment according to instructor directions. I agree not to intentionally misuse or damage training equipment.

    7. American Red Cross Certification

    I understand that participation in the course does not automatically guarantee certification. Certification is dependent upon successful completion of the applicable American Red Cross course requirements and demonstration of required skills.

    I understand that GCGC and its instructors cannot guarantee that I will successfully complete the certification requirements.

    8. Participant Acknowledgement

    By signing below, I acknowledge that:

    • I have read and understand this Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver.
    • I have had an opportunity to ask questions before participating.
    • I voluntarily choose to participate in the CPR/AED training.
    • I understand the physical nature of the training and assume the inherent risks associated with participation.
    • I agree to follow all instructor directions and safety procedures.
    • I understand that this agreement is intended to be as broad as permitted under applicable Montana law.

  • I grant permission to Gallatin Community Gun Club (GCGC) to photograph or record me during this class for educational, promotional, or informational purposes.

    I understand that these images or recordings may be used in print, on the GCGC website, social media, marketing materials, or other communications without compensation.

    I acknowledge that my participation is voluntary and that I may request not to be photographed or recorded by notifying instructors or staff prior to or during the event.

    I release Gallatin Community Gun Club, its officers, instructors, volunteers, and affiliates from any claims related to the use of these images or recordings.
