The Inclusive Summer Camp grant is for sports clubs and groups to run an inclusive camp for children, teens or adults with disabilities.
Eligible clubs must be located in the administrative areas of Galway City and County Councils. Funds for this grant are limited and strictly for sports clubs and community groups.
Applications for the Inclusive Summer Camp Grant should outline how they are going to be inclusive of individuals with disabilities. Items included in this grant include equipment, advertising, tutor costs, facility rental.
Only one application per funding stream per club/organisation is accepted.
Funding for these grants has been provided by SPORT IRELAND - maximum amount that can be applied for is €400.

Eligible applicants must:
- Be based in the administrative areas of Galway City and Galway County Councils.
- Operate as a “not for profit” club/organisation open to public membership.
- Be a club/organisation with a constitution or equivalent documentation that includes policies and practices that encourage participation regardless of gender, age, race or ability.
- In case of a new club, an operational plan would be acceptable.
- Venue hire where the venue is supplied by an external organisation.
- Be registered with Galway Sports Partnership. (Link to register Club Registration) List of Registered Clubs/Orgs
- The funding cannot be used to deliver a programme already being operated/delivered by the club.
- Where the Inclusive Summer Camp involves children (ie. Persons up to 18 yrs of age), club/group must operate under Sport Ireland Safeguarding guidelines and child protection laws.
- Club/group must have trained Children’s Officer and a Designated Liaison Person in place along with a Child Protection policy
- Clubs/groups must have suitable insurance cover for their activities and any programmes they wish to run, including any programmes supported under this scheme. Proper relevant insurance is the sole responsibility of the club/organisation.
- Target in particular individuals with disabilities for an inclusive summer camp as outlined above.

Who is not eligible to apply?
- For profit groups/commercial organisations.
- Statutory agencies.
- Day-centres and Residential Centres
- Disability Services
- Educational institutions
Ineligible applications:
- Venue hire where the club/organisation owns/controls the facility.
- Club clothing such as tracksuits, training clothing, match clothing will not be considered.
- Capital projects will not be funded under this grant (Building/refurbishment projects).
- Day to day running costs of a club will not be considered.
- Annual operational costs such as insurance, registration or affiliation fees.
- Entry to or organisation of competitions will not be considered.
- Coaching courses outside the Republic of Ireland will not be considered.
- Grant monies cannot be used for salaries or employment costs of individuals. Tutor costs are eligible provided these costs directly relate to the programme being organised and the tutor is required to run the programme.
- Foreign trips for teams/organisations or the hosting of same will not be considered.
Note:
- Inclusive Summer Camps should be advertised as inclusive and have the Galway Sports Partnership logo in any and all promotions.
- Applicants should note that successful clubs/groups must acknowledge Galway Sports Partnership and Sport Ireland in all publicity and comply with any reasonable request regarding publicity from Galway Sports Partnership.
- All clubs/organisations funded under this scheme must submit documentary evidence within 3 months of grant approval, of how the funds were spent before grant funding can be paid out; poster with 'Inclusive Summer Camp' and GSP logo, receipts/invoices.
- Successful Club/Groups will be required to submit a report on the programme, the outcome on the programme, number of participants and level of success.
