This gentle, affirming class is designed for girls ages 7–13 who are beginning their journey through puberty. In a safe and welcoming space, we’ll talk openly about the changes happening in their bodies, minds, and emotions—with honesty, care, and the proper language they deserve.

🌼 Topics We’ll Explore:
• Understanding periods and how to prepare for them
• Breast development, hair growth, and other physical changes
• Body image, self-esteem, and emotional wellness
• Personal hygiene and self-care routines
• Keeping your body safe and setting boundaries
• Using accurate terms for body parts and products (e.g., breasts, vagina, pubic area, pads, tampons, etc.)

Please note: this is NOT a sex education class.
This class focuses on helping girls understand the normal and common body changes that come with puberty. We talk about what to expect, how to prepare, and how to care for themselves with confidence. We also cover important safety topics—like recognizing safe vs. unsafe touches, navigating online spaces wisely, and understanding the difference between healthy and toxic friendships.
Our goal is to equip girls with knowledge, emotional safety, and practical tools as they step into this new season of growth.

📚 Each Participant Will Receive:
• A puberty workbook filled with helpful info and activities
• A mini journal for personal reflection
• A starter period pack to help them feel confident and prepared
• snacks provided during the class
**If your child has dietary restrictions or you'd prefer to send a snack from home, please email gentlelovedoula@gmail.com so we can accommodate with care.

🗣️ Group Connection Time:
Girls will break into small groups to reflect on prompts like:
- “What helps me when I feel angry?”
- “What makes me feel strong?”
  This time is designed to build confidence, connection, and community.

I understand that my child will have the opportunity to participate in small group discussions around emotional topics such as self-esteem, anger, and personal care. These conversations will be guided and optional, with respect for each child’s comfort level.

I release Treasured Art of Birth LLC/ Gentle Love Doula, its facilitators, and affiliates from any liability related to participation in this class, including emotional responses or physical discomfort that may arise during or after the session. I understand that this class is educational and not a substitute for medical or therapeutic care.
