Glen Vetromile is the founder and managing principal of Hudson Park Group LLC, a real estate development and investment firm that develops and invests in high-end, amenity-rich multifamily residential communities throughout the New York tri-state area — Connecticut, New Jersey, and the Hudson Valley. Hudson Park's current portfolio includes around 2,000 completed or under construction residential units. Market-rate rental buildings, independent and assisted living seniors communities, age-targeted townhouse complexes, and workforce housing are all examples of project types.
Many of these initiatives assist in the repurposing of existing dead properties into useful housing, providing governments with new taxable revenue sources and housing styles that are frequently not available in their area.
Experience and Professional Skills
Mr. Vetromile's 35-year career in real estate development has prepared him for the opening of Hudson Park. He's also worked as a senior executive for many of the country's most prestigious development enterprises, developing and managing assets worth more than $2.5 billion across the country.
Vetromile's experience isn't restricted to a single asset type; he's built anything from outlying garden apartments to luxury residential towers in major cities. Master-planned communities and mixed-use complexes including retail, offices, hotels, and residential components are among the other sorts of projects he has created.
Mr. Vetromile has worked on practically every part of the development process over the course of his career, from site acquisition to feasibility studies, design, financing, building, marketing, community relations, sales, and operational issues. He has a lot of experience with complicated government regulatory assessment processes (e.g. NYSEQR).
Vetromile's progress in real estate development in a highly competitive market is dependent on its ability to handle difficult community demands and governmental restrictions while giving value to project investors.
Work Experience
After a previous company, Jefferson Property Companies, exited the New York real estate market, Glen Vetromile founded Hudson Park Group LLC with assets left over. From 2008 to 2010, Vetromile was responsible for the establishment and management of JPI's New York branch.
He spent 14 years as a Senior Vice President at The Related Companies before joining JPI. He oversaw large-scale mixed-use developments and suburban housing construction in the tri-state area as an executive.
In 1983, he began his shift to that job with Tishman Realty Corporation, where he worked as a developer for the first time. Mr. Vetromile worked on the development of hotels, residential towers, and business buildings on a national scale at Tishman. The successful administration of these several projects gave him with a broad understanding and skill set in commercial development, laying the groundwork for his current work.
Glen Vetromile's talents in project planning and overcoming complicated start-up and operational issues began with these early projects, which ranged from the Hilton at Walt Disney World to the Swan and Dolphin hotels in Orlando, Florida. They were fine-tuned as he gained experience in different roles.
Achievements and Accomplishments
Glen Vetromile was in charge of Tuxedo Farms, the largest master-planned residential project in suburban New York, while with The Related Companies. This project is located on a large 2,400-acre property.
The complicated project required approvals from local, county, regional, state, and federal governments and agencies. Vetromile oversaw a group of up to 30 professional firms with experience in planning, environmental, design, engineering, and other fields.
He was a member of the New York State Association for Affordable Housing, the Real Estate Board of New York, the Urban Land Institute, and the first council of that organization, which led to the founding of the New York District Council.
