  • Koreapedia - Code of Conduct

  • This agreement is to ensure the applicant’s commitment and responsibilities as a Participant of G.O.A.’L. & Seoul National University (SNU)'s Koreapedia program. It also reassures an agreement between G.O.A.’L., the Participant, and the SNU volunteer (hereinafter “Session Leader”).

I, {name} (hereinafter “the Participant”), agree to and understand the following terms:

    PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

    1. Session Leaders are SNU student volunteers and are not certified teachers. The Session Leaders are expected to do their best and lead a well-organized session each time, but they may not always have the right "answers" to your questions.
      • Note: For many of the students, this might be their first time interacting and leading a class with foreigners while also speaking in a foreign language (English) for an extended period of time. Please understand this and try to help them by participating when possible!

    2. Koreapedia is primarily a culture program, not a Korean class. The program is designed to provide Korean adoptees and their children with a fun introduction to Korean culture while including some elements of the Korean language.
      • Participants are encouraged to be active during the sessions! Feel free to ask questions, interact, etc., during the program.

    3. The Session Leaders will make the material for each class and choose the topics covered in each session.

    SESSIONS AND SCHEDULING:

    1. Sessions will be conducted via Zoom. Information on how to join the meeting will be sent to the registered Participant via email closer to the first session.

    2. There will be a total of 10 sessions between October 3, 2026 ~ December 6, 2026. Please make sure you will be able to commit to your sessions during this time period before registering. Participants' commitment ensures a continued working relationship between G.O.A.'L. and SNU in the future. If you are not able to commit to the classes, please consider your registration for this program.

    PAYMENT:

    1. Koreapedia has a $10 nonrefundable registration fee for G.O.A.'L. Members and a $20 nonrefundable registration fee for non-members.
