Request for rebates for car, SUV, or light duty truck replacement with all electric equivalents and EV charging infrastructure
Application deadline: 4:00 PM CST on Friday, February 21, 2025
Eligibility: Municipal and County governments in Pulaski, Faulkner, Saline, Lonoke, Grant, and Perry Counties, Arkansas
*Other units of government, special districts, and non-profit organizations may be eligible to partner with an eligible municipal or county government.
The Transportation Efficiency application aims to fund two key initiatives:
1. Replacement of Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) Fleet Vehicles with EVs
- Total Funding Available $1,000,000
- Available CPRG Rebates: $10,000 per sedan or SUV and $15,000 per light-duty truck or police vehicle
- Applicants are eligible to apply for any available federal rebates
- Goal: At least 65 ICE vehicles (sedans, SUVs, light-duty trucks) replaced with all-electric equivalents
2. EV Charger Installation
- Total Funding Available: $995,000
- Available CPRG Rebate: $7,250 per charger
- Applicants encouraged to apply for any available federal rebates
- Goal: At least 136 EV chargers installed throughout Central Arkansas
Applications will be evaluated according to:
- $ cost per metric ton of carbon dioxide or equivalent emissions (MTCO2e) reduced by the project (Metroplan will assist with these calculations)
- Percentage of project benefiting low-income and disadvantaged communities (goal: minimum 50% LIDAC benefit). LIDAC map: https://tinyurl.com/LIDACs-map
