Description of volunteer areas:
Wednesday Morning Prayer Breakfast and Jesus (PB&J)
Jones County students meet at 6:45AM on Wednesday mornings for breakfast, fellowship, devotion and prayer at Dairy Queen of Gray. Many students say that prayer breakfast plays a huge part in helping them get through tough weeks at school! Volunteer spots include riders and drivers for Gray Methodist buses to transport students to school after breakfast.
Wednesday Night Worship/Small Groups
Our students meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30PM-8PM for large group fellowship. Volunteer spots include crowd control during games and cooking or serving. We are eager to work to create a worship and small group enrionment on Wednesdays as well so if you are eager to lead one of these ways please let us know.
Sunday School
Students meet at 10:00AM on Sunday mornings for Sunday School. Volunteers for this area will lead students in a short form lesson through scripture that allows them to identify how to apply God's Word to their lives in a practical way.
Sunday Evening Small Groups
Our students meet from 5PM-6:30PM on Sunday evenings to participate in small group Bible studies. These groups are broken into middle school girl, high school girl, middle school boy and high school boy age groups. The goal of these nights is to build disciples through time in the word together. In doing so, we will also develop personal relationships with these students. Volunteers in this area will lead and/or support a leader for the studies.
Special Events Host/Chaperone
Volunteers are need to chaperone events or any special trips we do throughout the year.
