  • Team Leader Contact Info

  • Fundraising Goal

  • We are hoping each team will raise {typeA} for the Serve-a-Thon this year. Each team may choose its own goal.

  • Fundraising Method

  • Each team may select one or more fundraising methods.

    1. With the Traditional Method, team members send letters, texts or emails to family and friends to ask them to donate.
    2. In the Service Site Donors Method teams serve people who in turn make a donation. This option is for when those being served need help but are financially able to give.
    3. With the Business Sponsorship Method, team members solicit local businesses to make a donation to Greenhouse as a way of investing in the community. In return the business will be recognized by Greenhouse. The types of recognition depend on the tier of support.
  • Traditional Fundraising Method

  • Send people to the Serve-a-Thon website to order letters and flyers.

With the traditional method, some families will mail letters. Others will send messages electonically. Other will hand flyers to people they see face-to-face.

    1. We will send the materials for mailings and flyers home to team members through the Parents Packet. Just let us know what people need.
    2. We will provide the whole Greenhouse community with sample text to use fo electronic messages.

  • Service Site Donors

  • Send people to the Serve-a-Thon website to order letters and flyers.

The service site donor method works most effectively if the people you serve are favorably inclined toward Greenhouse, and have discetionary income. In those instances they may be willing to give more for a particular service than they might otherwise pay.

    1. We will provide materials to share about the ministry of Greenhouse with those you serve.
    2. Since this method by nature involves a smaller pool of donors, it may be advisable to use it in combination with another fundraising method.
  • You have chosen this as your only fundraising method. It may be difficult to reach your fundraising goal of {yourTeams}, if you only serve a few households. For example, if you serve two households and they each contribute $25, then your team will raise $50 total.

  • Business Sponsorship

  • Send people to the Serve-a-Thon website to order letters and flyers.

With the business sponsorship method local companies invest in the community by supporting the Serve-a-Thon, and in return they receive public recognition from Greenhouse.

    1. We will provide flyers to share with business leaders about the Serve-a-Thon, the work of Greenhouse and our consituency.
    2. Businesses will have several levels of sponsorship to choose from. The higher levels provided more types of recognition for the sponsors.

  • Service Site Selection

  • While we hope most teams will find their own service project, our Steering Committe is ready to recommend some sites we are aware of.

We have also arranged for a large service projects at {largeGroup} on {suggestedGoal141}, if your team would prefer. However, there is a limit to the number of participants which each site can accommodate.
