Prices are only guaranteed once you pay your booking fee.
By submitting I have read the policies below if I were to hire Michelle Golden Hairstylist, Salon Au & The Golden Weddings Team.
We absolutely can travel outside of Iowa, so if your venue is farther than the 3-4 hours please don't hesitate to contact me about wanting bridal services. Travel fees & possible hotel accommodation will be required for any services that are early start times that are more than 3-4hrs from Ankeny. -This is a case by case scenario.
Payments/Booking Fees:
To reserve your special day & rate a Wedding Agreement must be filled out, signed and booking fee paid to reserve your big day.
I will only hold wedding dates for 48 hours so if agreement and booking fee invoice haven't been paid your wedding date could possibly go to another bride.
Payments:
1st payment- booking fees:
Trial date Hair $300,
Make up $300 ( if you don't want make up then its just hair booking fee)
($300-$600 Total) This reserves your trial date.
Final payment- Final balance: due 45 days before wedding date. Which will be paid by invoice or card on file with automatic payment on date agreed.
After Pay is available for bridal services however if you choose AfterPay your FULL wedding balance must be paid at time of booking.

Wedding Agreement:
Your wedding agreement must be signed within 48 hours of being sent to you as well as your booking fee invoice must be paid within that 48 hours to reserve your big day. NO EXCEPTIONS! We DO NOT go chasing after you so please be 100% serious when filling out this form/agreement.
Trial Day:
We block off anywhere form 2-4 hours (hair & make up) to find the right style and look you are going for and what makes you feel like a queen!
We will go over all the details of your wedding from what your dress looks like, to your wedding colors. It can be a little overwhelming so if you want to bring someone to help you like your mom or maid of honor, you totally can. However we do ask that you keep it to 1 person as our rooms are smaller.
We have snacks & drinks available for you to enjoy as well as some other Golden Goodies along the way.
After the trial if you want your hair tweaked we can absolutely do another trial. Any more trials can be subjected to additional fees. If you decide we are not a great fit after trial you have 48 hours to contact me to a possibility of canceling your wedding day agreement. Your booking fees are non-refundable!
If you don't contact me within that 48 hours of your trial appointments any cancelation of the wedding agreement will result in forfeiting any payments you have already made towards your final wedding balances.
Booking fees: hair $300 & make up $300 are NON-REFUNDABLE!!
Start times:
Most bridal parties start at 8am or after. It just depends on what time first look pictures are and time of wedding. Updos usually take 45mins to an hour and make up is usually an hour to an hour and a half.
Depending on your bridal party numbers that will determine what time we will start services at.
If we do need to start earlier than 8am there will be an early call time fee of $250 per stylist.
I will gives you a wedding day of time line once I know your final numbers of who wants hair and make up done.
Multiple locations for services:
If wedding party needs to have services at multiple locations such as start at one location and then half way through switching to a new location where we have to load up our wedding tools and drive to new location there will be an additonal fee of $50 per stylist to move locations. This may also need more time or early call times which will include fees if needed to do early call times or if need another stylist to help with hair or make up
Destination Weddings: Please contact me for info on pricing. For destination weddings airfare, hotel, food and services will need to be paid upfront to guarantee you wedding date. Travel trades accepted for destination weddings.
To lock in your bridal pricing packages client must sign this bridal form/agreement to lock in rate. Prices are starting at and could change at any time with out a bridal form or contract signed/filled out..
Make up services available upon request. I will see if she is available for your date. $150 per person + $250 travel fee to book
Bridal Trial on location for an additional fee: $250-$500+ depending on location.
Depending on location/time restriction it would just be an additional $250/per stylist &/or room & board for 1-2 nights depending on the situation.
Each bridal inquiry will be on a case by case scenario.
Weddings on a Sundays/Birthdays & Holiday weekends will have an additional $250 fee per stylist. Early call times before 8am will have an additional $250 fee per stylist.
The Stylist/Artists Bdays are: January 20th, June 7th, September 3rd & 7th, October 10th, December 8th & 19th.
Holiday weekends include:
New Years Eve & Day, Valentines Day, Easter Weekend, Memorial Day, Mothers Day, June 19th, Fathers Day, 4th of July Weekend, Labor Day Weekend, Halloween, ThanksGiving Eve/Day & Weekend, Christmas Eve/Day & Weekend.
>Please remember with these Bday's & holidays ^ you are asking us to spend time away from our families. A $250 fee will be applied per stylist as this would be like if your employer asked you to work overtime.
Definition of OTHER UPDOS: Each pricing quote comes with a bridal trial & day of updo for the bride, as well as multiple updos for others in the wedding party.
Which means these can be your bridesmaids, MOB, MOG, Flower Girls, ETC...
Have more people? No problem at all it will just be an additional $150 per person. However if we don't know ahead of time (at least 48 hours notice of adding more people) specially make up add ons we can try and accommodate as much as possible however we may need to decline service if timing is running low or if not enough products for make up.
If we do add on people day of it will be $100-$150 for each additional service per artist. Cash Only as payment for anyone who wants to do day off.
Please understand we take the whole day off for bridal parties, which means these prices above are for on location pricing.
If you want us to come to you it does require us to charge accordingly as we can't take other clients during this time.
On Location Services with less than 4 people will be charged a la cart:
Bride + 2 others = $600 + Travel fee $250 = $850 plus tax (includes brides trial updo) Will give detail on location estimates upon request.
Bridal party late/Standing around fees:
Communication is key! If any members of the bridal party are late to studio or venue on day of wedding there will be a late fee of $50 per stylist per every 5 mins with no communication from bride.
After 15 mins if no members of bridal party have communicated or shown up we have the right to leave venue and this will be considered a NOSHOW from the bridal party. There will be NO refunds on any payments received prior to wedding day if you NOSHOW us.
If you communicate with us that you are running behind we will show grace if it is a legitimate reason and is not more than 15 mins late.
There will be a late fee of $50 per stylist if bridal party is late more than 15 mins late with a non-valid reason.
Standing Around Fee:
If any stylist is standing around waiting for the next bridal party member for more than 5 mins there will be a $25 fee for every 5 mins that the stylist is waiting for that bridal party member to sit down. Remember we are on a timeframe to get everyone done for the wedding.
All fees must be paid before starting any hair services that are listed above in the late fees or standing around fees! No Exceptions!! (must be paid by invoice or bride can Venmo stylists before we leave)
Cancellation Policy:
Any adjustments will need to be made on or before 45 days before the wedding date.
If Bride cancels wedding services with Golden Weddings anytime after that 45 days prior to wedding date the bride will forfeit the booking fee or any amount paid towards the wedding balance.
Grace shown: If bride can find a replacement bride to take over her wedding date I will refund amount of wedding services minus the trial services done.
If Bride cancels within the week of the wedding after final bill is paid they will also forfeit the amount paid as a late cancellation fee. NO EXCEPTIONS
If Bride or Hairstylists decide to go our separate ways after Trial appointments but before the 45 days deadline, bride will only receive a refund of balance after amount of trial appointments is deducted.
$300 hair & $300 make up = $600 total
Bridal Bling/Accessories: available upon request: I always find the cutest bling for my brides. I keep a few just for my brides who book with me at no additional charge.
Hair Extensions Rental Program:
Brides & Bridesmaids can purchase & keep Halo or Clip-Ins Hair Extensions or you can also rent one from me for an additional fee.
To Purchase & Keep: $500
To Rent: $250 *Client can rent the halo or clip-ins hair extensions for their wedding, normal dates (Friday, Saturday & Sunday weddings) must return extensions to stylist by Monday. Card must be on file for rental and if not returned by Monday they will be charged the full amount of $500.
*If any damage other than normal wear and tear is present when returned to stylist the client will be charged 50% ($250) for damage to the hair extensions. Gratuity or Showing Love to your stylists!
Is never required! However always appreciated!
Showing LOVE to your stylist can be in many different forms:
>Stylists LOVE Starbucks or having the opportunity to be given lunch/food!
>Even leaving us a review on Facebook, Google, The Knot & Wedding Wire is a way to show us how much you loved our services.
Communication is 100% Required!
It is very important that if I am emailing you or texting you to communicate that you respond in a timely matter. If you can't commit to responding please have a designated person on your wedding party who can help with that so that way there are no issues for your big day. You will receive 3 correspondence from me as follows.
>I will send out an email/text to you before your 45 days prior to your date to remind you of your final balance invoice that needs to be paid by your due date. You will also get a few reminders as it gets closer to your due date of your invoice.
>I will also send out a text/email the week of your wedding to make sure you have everything you need from us and an idea of what to expect from us day of. I will also confirm location and ask for any inspo pictures for hair and make up for your wedding party so we can print those off and be ready for the day without looking at our phones each time.
^This step is very important and no exceptions to skipping.
>The night before I will send out one last text/email making sure everything is still good to go, grab your hotel room number, etc...
If you haven't responded to my prior texts/emails this is where your wedding date could be in jeopardy and you could forfeit any payments you have made for breach of agreement in communications with us as one of your main vendors.
