Harford County Education Foundation is dedicated to enhancing student achievement by funding innovative ideas that enrich and elevate the learning experience.
Grants are available for:
- Classroom Projects: Up to $500
- Team/School-Wide Initiatives: Up to $1,500
- The number of awards granted depends on available funding.
Grant Proposal Priorities
Proposals will be prioritized based on the following criteria:
- Enhancement of Academic Programs: Projects that strengthen or supplement the existing curriculum.
- Impact and Sustainability: Projects that benefit a significant number of students and have lasting educational value.
- Creativity and Innovation: Original ideas that enhance learning or provide real-world connections.
Limitations
Funding will not be awarded for:
- School supplies (available through the Tools for Schools Resource Center by emailing connect@harfordeducation.org)
- Field trips
- Rewards/incentives
- Food (except in outcome-based programs where it directly supports measurable outcomes)
- Packaged programs
- Only complete applications meeting the goals of the program will be reviewed.
Grant Recipient Responsibilities
Recipients agree to:
- Complete the proposed activities, submit reimbursement forms with receipts, and finalize the online grant report by May 1.
- Provide a post-grant report detailing:
- Complete post grant report detailing project outcomes and accountability of funds.
- Complete storyboard with testimonial, outcomes and 3 - 4 student photos.
- Promote the grant award by:
- Highlighting the funded project in your school newsletter
- Posting on your school’s social media pages acknowledging the education foundation and any donor providing funds to the project. (logos will be provided)
Your proposal will be listed on the Harford Achieves! funding page on the Education Foundation's website to encourage business sponsorship.
