Adulting with Horses is…Unscripted and Casual
Adulting with Horses is an informal, conversational format. We divide the show into 3 to 4 segment topics, but it’s definitely unscripted. Guest hosts will receive the segment topics a week before recording, giving ample time to think up a few stories to share while the conversation flows naturally. We’re not afraid to dig into topics and give our opinions, but the overall mood is light. We’re here to have fun!
Adulting with Horses is…Adult
We’re all adults here, right? Adulting with Horses has an E tag on our show because we use grown-up language and talk grown-up topics. We don’t go out of our way to swear and we certainly don’t require you to drop any f-bombs, but please don’t be shocked if one of us does! And since we often discuss horsekeeping, the show can get biological…if you know what we mean. Whether it’s taking care of geldings or cleaning up after a mare, the conversation could get graphic.
Adulting with Horses is…About an Hour!
Can you give us an hour of your time? While many podcasts welcome a guest for a few minutes, we invite guest hosts to be part of our show. Instead of calling in for ten minutes to give your product’s elevator pitch, we invite our guest hosts to tackle the entire show from soup to nuts. This is a great opportunity for you to share your real personality with listeners. We promise you’re going to make more of an impression this way. At the end of the show, we’ll give you time to share your storefront or online presence with listeners.
Our Timeline
Adulting with Horses releases twice a month. If you choose to come on as a guest host, that will be a bonus episode published in addition to our regularly scheduled program. As for the topics we’ll be discussing, we’ll finalize the show segment topics with you at least a week in advance of recording. Our segments will mesh with your area of expertise--if you’re a barrel racing maven, we’re not going to invite you on to talk Burghley!
