Part B: Funding Request
Provide a brief overview of your organization including the type of animal welfare group (shelter, foster, adoption based program, sanctuary, etc.) and your overall mission and values
*
How many animals do you currently have in long-term care (1 year or more at the time of application) that are estimated to benefit from the funds provided?
*
Long-term animals do not need to directly benefit from the Bella Bucks grant, as long as the grant can leverage finances for other long-term animals. This number should reflect the total number of long-term animals who are in your care.
How has the organization experienced financial hardship in the past 6 months
What is the total of your funding request (CAD)
*
*The financial statements should highlight any recent veterinary emergency surgery costs, either paid or outstanding that you are requesting the funds to cover. In the case of a pending emergency surgery, a quote from the veterinary clinic on the surgery costs must be provided. *Help a Buddy Fund will consider all applications for funding and award the selected recipient based on multiple factors that determine the highest need. Should the veterinary costs submitted not require the full amount of funding available, your application will still be considered. Any funds that are not required by the successful applicant will be deferred to our 2026 Bella Bucks Emergency Donation Program
Explain in detail the nature of the veterinary emergency treatments that have occurred within 12 months of the time of application or are currently pending. Include a date of when the emergency was first discovered and when treatment was scheduled.
*
Help a Buddy Fund considers emergencies to be those treatments which are completed within 30 days of discovery. If the animal was able to have treatment delayed for more than 30 days please apply for our General Grant instead. Your explanation must demonstrate why the medical treatment was considered as an emergency by these standards. Include any additional backstory of the animals that will benefit from Bella Bucks and why the funding is specific to their needs.
Part C: Supporting Documents
Provide any veterinary invoices which demonstrate the full cost incurred, or that will be incurred within the next 30 days at the time of the application which pertain to the emergency veterinary procedure outlined in this application
