Deposits and Fees

1. A £100 deposit is required for any course booked more than 4 weeks in advance of the start date requested to secure dates.

2. The balance of the course fee is due 28 days before the agreed dates.

3. If you book a course within 28 days of agreed dates, or wish to book an open course e.g. RCI progressions, the full amount will be required to secure those dates.

4. If the course is less than 14 days away at the time of booking, the full amount for the course is payable to reserve dates.

Postponement/ Cancellation

5. Requests for cancellation/postponement need to be sent via Email, text or private message as soon as possible.

6. Postponements may only be possible up to 14 days before the original start date.

7. Alternative dates must be agreed ASAP. All fees will be retained.

8. If you wish to cancel the booking, the following charges will be applied:

i) 75% refund up to 28 days before date booked

ii) 50% refund of the total course cost if you cancel after 28 and before 15 days prior to course commencing.

iii) 25% refund If you cancel within 14 days.

9. In the unlikely event I need to cancel the booking, I will notify you ASAP and I will either offer you:

a) Alternative mutually agreeable dates.

or

b) Another qualified instructor to deliver the booking on the original dates

Or if neither a) or b) are possible.

c) A full refund.

10. If an alternative instructor or mutually agreeable dates cannot be secured, a full refund will be offered (including deposits).

11. I bear no responsibility for incidental costs (e.g. accommodation, travel etc) due to cancellation, curtailment or postponement by either myself or you, the client.

12. All bookings are provisional until applicable fees are received and cleared.

Health

13. We have adopted the British Mountaineering Council (BMC) participation declaration which states: “The BMC recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions.”

14. With this in mind, you should only undertake one of our courses if you are in good health.

15. Any illnesses, injuries or disabilities that can affect your ability to take part in the course must be declared.

16. Any specific requirements for a disability must be stated on the booking form. Reasonable adjustments can be made according to declared requirements.

Media/photographs

17. I will only use photos for marketing purposes and only with your permission. Copies of all images taken will be sent via Google Drive or similar.

18. I retain copyright for any images taken by myself.

19. At least 1 parent or legal guardian must be present throughout the activity.

20. Depending on the course booked , the parent or guardian constitutes as a participant e.g. on a 2:1 multipitch climbing course. I will advise you whether this is the case at time of booking.
