About "URISA GIS Leadership Academy" 5-Day Training Program:
URISA would be interested in holding "URISA's GIS Leadership Academy" 5-Day Training Program in Hawaii, if there is a sufficient interest for in-person attendance (at least 40 attendees). This would be a training program for a duration of five days, and cover topics like GIS strategic planning, organizational capacity, change management, team-building, etc. This would be held during the 2025 calendar year somewhere in the State of Hawaii. Logistics TBD. It is presented 2-3 times each year in the U.S. and Canada. It is taught by GIS professionals and is a unique and popular program. Since 2007, nearly 2,000 individuals have attended. As an example, 2023 rates for in-person attendance will range from $1,500 - $1,600 for URISA members, and $1,700 - $1,800 for URISA non-members. Exact rates for 2025 may vary.
