  • Independent Living Program Enrichment Funds Application

    Extracurricular and Enrichment Activities are activities designed to enhance the foster child or nonminor dependent’s skills, abilities, self-esteem, relationships, and overall well-being and healing, and include, but are not limited to the following: lessons or time spent engaging in music, sports, dance, summer camp, community activities, drama, and/or other age-appropriate hobbies and activities chosen by the child or nonminor dependent.
    • Recipient must have an open Dependency Case with Orange County, CA 
    • Each child (or caregiver of a child) and nonminor dependents may receive up to $3000 in funding per fiscal year (25-26).
    • Funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis and can be requested multiple times throughout the year until the maximum amount is reached. Please note that funds will not be reserved for the entire year, except for senior year activities. 
    • Funding is not guaranteed. Awards are determined on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the reviewer. Some items may be approved to meet the needs of certain youth but not others.
    • Funds are not available for those in Family Maintenance or KinGAP

    Prior to starting the application please be sure you have all your supporting documents ready to be uploaded.

    • The application may take approx. 10 minutes to complete, there are short answer questions. 

    Documents needed: Foster Verification Letter, Detailed Receipt or Invoice

    • Foster Verification Letter can be requested from Orange County, CA Social Services Agency (714) 704-8000, ask to speak to the TPSP Officer of the Day.

    NOTE: If you do not have a flyer, receipt or invoice to go with your request you will be unable to complete the application. You are welcome to come back and complete the application once you have the necessary document to go with your request.

    All receipts/requests must be within the same funding year you are applying for, July 1st, 2025 - June 30th, 2026. Please note, your receipt must be within 6 months of today's date.

    • Reimbursement requests must include a detailed receipt of your purchases and any supporting materials (e.g., flyers, screenshots).
    • Purchase requests must include an invoice, a detailed screenshot of the item, or provide a link to the item/activity.

    Incomplete documentation may delay processing.

    Note: If you do not have a receipt, invoice, or flyer, you will not be able to complete this application at this time. Once you have the required documentation, you may return and submit a new request.
