HOPE Sussex Community
HOPE exists to provide unique opportunities for families and individuals to connect, belong, be inspired, learn and thrive both remotely and at our beautiful rural site.
HOPE Sussex Community is run as a Community Interest Company, which means that we are a not-for-profit company that has charitable status. We are run entirely by volunteers. We operate as a Community Centre as a place to come together for the benefit of our community.
We receive no 'funding' and so your donations are essential to sustaining our site for the community of free-thinking home educating families and individuals looking for alternatives to more "mainstream" narratives and systems.
Our hub is in a beautiful location right in the heart of Sussex. Not only does it currently have 5 - 7 good-sized rooms for our community to hire but some beautiful outdoor space too. We have an allotment Veg Patch where the children and their families can get stuck in and learn how to grow from seed and where they can learn the health benefits of not just vegetables and fruit, but also weeds and herbs.
There is an amazing 80 acres of woodland where we can enjoy Forestry and Nature Learning to experience outdoor learning and 11 acres of grass fields for sports, summer fairs, camping, and many more events! We have a barn for trade skills such as woodwork, engineering, and, practical skills. HOPE Sussex Community is ‘hoping’ to develop the site even further over time!
We would love more polytunnels for growing, a yurt for outdoor learning, to expand some existing spaces that we have and we have so many more ideas for amazing things we could offer at HOPE.
Everything you give will go straight back into keeping this project growing! We cannot thank you enough.
With much Love and Thanks
