- Do I need to sync my activity each day?
- Activity does not need to be synced each day. All activity must be synced before each challenge cycle ends. Please be aware that only data already synced to your device or app account can be transferred to Alliance. When you connect devices and apps in Alliance, you are connecting two accounts, not Alliance to your actual device (i.e. Alliance pulls data from your connected Fitbit account, not from the actual Fitbit). If your activity is not visible after syncing on Alliance, please ensure that your activity tracker has uploaded the data to its account. Please be aware that some synced data could take up to 24 hours before fully visible in your account. Click here for instructions on how to add and sync a device.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are connecting your device to Alliance for the first time, we will only look 3 days into the past for any information to sync with the Alliance. Even if you have been tracking your activity for weeks or months with the app or tracker, it will only record the last 3 days. For example, if the connection is made on August 4, we will look at information as far back as August 1.
2. Can I edit my data that has been synced to Alliance
- Any synced data to Alliance should not be edited. If the number of steps is edited in your “Pedometer Log” it may not count for the challenge.
3. Can I backlog activity for previous dates?
- Data will be pulled from your activity tracker account for all dates that have data and are within the monthly challenge period. It is a good practice to not wait until the last day to log activity, in case you realize more is needed after syncing. Please be aware that some synced data could take up to 24 hours before fully visible in your account.
4. Can other people see my progress in the challenge?
- No, others cannot see incentives that you earn. Other badges that are blue on the platform are automatically rewarded for things like your first login, or your first 10,000 steps. These are visible to others on the platform, but only are connected to you by your nickname and/or representative graphic you have chosen. You have the ability to keep all activities private from others by turning on the "Profile Privacy" option on your profile page.
5. How will I know when to log activity and how much time is left in the challenge?
- It is up to you when to sync your activity, but all data for a challenge period must be uploaded before the challenge ends. The challenge end date will be visible on the programs page in your Alliance account. Challenge start and stop dates can also be referenced on OurHRConnect in the Wellness Worklet.
6. How will I know if my activity was successfully logged?
- The number of records synced will show on your homepage and activity totals should update after syncing your data. Please be aware that some synced data could take up to 24 hours before fully visible in your account.
7. How will I know I successfully earned PTO?
- After you have synced enough activity to reach your goal, the "Overall Status" for the incentive program will change from "Not Yet Finished" to "Finished."
8. What happens if I forget to log activity for a challenge cycle?
- If you forget to sync your activity before the challenge period ends, the next time data is synced it will be recorded but not go toward any incentive periods that have passed. You will be able to start recording activity for the new challenge period. The good news each challenge period is separate, so not completing one does not negatively affect others.
9. What happens if I have technical difficulties syncing my activity?
