The Max Harris Memorial Fund was established by Max Harris' family and friends after his untimely death in 2019. Max, a 2015 graduate of Hume-Fogg, was a fun-loving person with a generous spirit and the Max Harris Fund was created so that his generous spirit would be shared to help students in need. The Max Harris Fund is used to assist students at Hume-Fogg Academic Magnet High School with the financial support they need to participate in school-related activities (eg. school field trips, academic materials, extra-curricular fees, sports equipment, etc.).
Requests are reviewed as received. The Max Harris Fund is a restricted, discretionary fund managed by the Hume-Fogg Association (HFA). All requests are approved by the Max Harris Fund committee, which includes a member of the Harris family, the HFA president & a team of Hume-Fogg staff members. ALL REQUESTS ARE PRIVATE.
To be considered for funding, you must list the total cost of the request, how much is family- or student-funded and/or how much has been raised through fundraising to reduce the cost. Follow-up on this request may come from a teacher, counselor, coach, or individual processing this request for Max Harris committee consideration. Funds will not be distributed to students or families and must have documentation to be paid.
