Outreach Events
An outreach event is considered an event where application assistance is performed and/or information is provided regarding application assistance and/or food assistance services (e.g., food delivery, food drop boxes, mobile pantry) accessible to an eligible audience.
DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion)
DEI work refers to the intentional effort and ongoing process of promoting and supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace, education, and society at large.
Diversity refers to the range of identities, experiences, and perspectives that individuals bring to a group or organization (e.g., differences in race, ethnicity, gender, etc.)
Equity refers to the fair distribution of resources, opportunities, and support, regardless of an individual's background or identity. It involves acknowledging and addressing systemic barriers that may prevent certain groups from achieving equal access to opportunities and resources.
Inclusion refers to creating a sense of belonging and a welcoming environment where individuals feel valued and respected for who they are, and their perspectives and contributions are heard and considered.
Success Story
A success story would typically involve a positive outcome or achievement related to the organization's mission of supporting individuals and families with food insecurity. (e.g., the story might include details about the specific services your org provided, the impact on a family's life, organizational successes, etc.)
