  • HUSKY HAVEN SANCTUARY ADVOCATE FOSTER TO ADOPT AGREEMENT
     

    At Husky Haven Sanctuary, we have abilities to provide support for transportation, pulling from shelters, and covering expenses during the transition to a foster family. In order to confirm financial support and capabilities, a non-refundable welcome package fee is required. This fee is allocated towards supporting the organization's initiatives to maintain the care of our huskies, including the Husky Haven Sanctuary Foster to Adopt Welcome Package. This package includes varying essential items such as:

    • A durable no-chew leash and an indoor stand to secure the pet during home away hours.
    • Steel Crate.
    • PAWSBIJOU harness and PAWSBIJOU leash.
    • Fidogs collar and charger (which is a GPS tracking device).
    • A gift card for dog food (the amount will be determined).
    • Up to 6-months preventative care subscription to the Banfield Pet Hospital.
       

    To be accepted as a foster for Husky Haven Sanctuary, you are legally bound to be responsible and in agreement to have capacities to meet the criteria below:

    • It is understood that the husky must wear its collar on a daily basis and be consistently charged above 75%.
    • When you opt for adoption, an adoption fee will encompass the expenses for a 2-year Fidogs GPS tracking subscription.
    • Following adoption, the organization will continue to retain full ownership access
    • Fidogs GPS tracking subscription for up to one year to ensure the safety and well-being of the dog while the adopter will have dog walking access/previledges.
    • Adopter must notify Husky Haven Sanctuary at least 7 days prior when there is another handler helping with walking or caring for the dog so they can be added and track the dog while in care of a trusted handler, friend, family.
    • When fostering for Husky Haven Sanctuary, foster caregivers are entrusted with the responsibility of providing food, covering veterinary expenses, maintaining scheduling, and ensuring their foster husky's well-being as if it were their own.
    • It is expected that crate training is practiced nightly.
    • The fostered husky will not be crated for more than one hour during the day or outside of the designated sleeping hours.
    • If the fostered husky must be alone, it is not for more than 4 hours during the day, secured with a no-chew leash indoors or a cool shaded area when left alone, with access to at least 6 feet of open space and pee bad with water and food.
    • Additionally, foster caregivers agree to absolutely refrain from feeding our huskies Chicken, as it is a common allergen causing excessive shedding, and other heath issues.
    • Pumpkin puree or pumpkin foods will be readily available and provided by the foster caregiver at all times during care as part of the husky's diet to address common digestive issues.
    • You grant permission for the organization to utilize the information you have provided to establish a foster or adoption agreement, provided that you meet the criteria for adoption and fulfill all prerequisites, which may include an in-person or virtual home assessment/s.
    • A monthly check-in must be determined for 6 months prior to transport. Any rescheduling must be made minimum 14 days prior to scheduled check-in date.
    • By default, you are in agreement to be available to foster for 6 months unless otherwise established with our organization.
    • Should you choose to retract your commitment to fostering or adopting, you are in agreement to provide the imperative minimum of 21 days' notice prior to the conclusion of your care for the husky. 
    • You are responsible for ensuring the secure return of the husky to the organization or to its designated foster caregiver in accordance with the predetermined terms with the Husky Haven Sanctuary after notice is reviewed and accepted.

     
    Being a foster for Husky Haven Sanctuary  grants the organization to retrieve the fostered dog anytime and any day deemed our husky is not receiving care standards required and will result in being banned from for our organization. Husky Haven sanctuary has rights for information provided with be disclosed with other animal organizations, legal authorities, social media, and all available outlets to ensure safety of all animals in our husky advocate community. 

     
    By agreeing to these terms, you validate the accuracy of all information provided in this online application and any associated documents. You affirm that you are in satisfactory health conditions, both mentally and physically, at the time of submitting this application. Any violation of this confirmation will result in legal consequences.
