Outreach for Underserved Children (year-round)
2020-2021 Request Form
Application period: Aug 15, 2020 - June 15, 2021
Outreach for Underserved Children provides resources to enhance outreach visits, reaching those children who cannot get to their local library and increasing the number of families with access to books in their homes throughout the year.
ICfL recognizes that outreach services during COVID-19 may look different for many libraries. It may mean that some forms of outreach cannot happen or can only happen in a modified manner. It may mean that new and creative solutions to outreach are required of the library in order to reach the targeted underserved population in their community. ICfL encourages libraries to do their best to continue to conduct outreach in their community and understand that some of the following program requirements will be harder to achieve than normal. We just ask that libraries applying for this program do their best to realize these requirements. Thank you!
Outreach for Underserved Children requests must be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance of your outreach event - and 3-4 weeks in advance is preferred. Requests made less than 2 weeks in advance of the event may be declined due to staff workload or schedule.
Book Requests Limitations:
