    Have questions about Islam for a class, paper, or personal curiosity? Book a virtual chat with a member of our outreach team. This option is ideal for students, educators, or anyone seeking a casual Q&A session to gain a deeper understanding of Islamic beliefs, practices, and culture.


    Guided Tour
    We offer small, in-person tours of ICN 12 South for individuals or groups of 1–5 people, typically held on Fridays. Depending on your arrival time, your visit may include observing the khutbah (a 30-minute sermon delivered before the weekly congregational prayer) and the Jumu’ah (Friday) prayer itself. The tour also includes a walkthrough of the mosque and time for questions.


    Islam 101 Session
    Islam 101 sessions are designed for school field trips, corporations, interfaith groups, religious organizations, and groups of 5 - 50 persons. These visits must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance but no more than 1 month in advance. Each visit typically lasts around 1.5 hours, though we recommend setting aside 2 hours to allow ample time for your visit.

      We want to make meeting convenient and accessible to everyone so we're happy to provide three meeting options. Virtual appointments can be booked 7 - 28 days in advance.     • Guided Tour | Every Friday
      Guided tours of the Islamic Center of Nashville are offered on Fridays for individuals or small groups of 1–5 people. Tours can be booked 3 - 14 days in advance. Each tour includes a guided walkthrough of the mosque and time for questions.

      Depending on your arrival time, you may also have the opportunity to observe the khutbah (a 30-minute sermon) and the Jumu’ah (Friday) congregational prayer. If you wish to attend both the khutbah and the prayer, please select either the 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM time slot when booking.

      In the Islamic tradition, certain aspects of mosque etiquette and tour instructions are gender-specific. We kindly ask that you provide your gender and the gender of any accompanying guests, so we can offer appropriate guidance and assign the correct tour guide(s). For mixed-gender groups, we will ensure two guides are present.

      Identification Required:
      All adult visitors must present a valid form of identification (state-issued ID, driver’s license, or passport). High school-aged guests may present a school ID. All documents will be returned upon departure.

      Islam 101 sessions are designed for school field trips, corporations, interfaith groups, and/or community organizations interested in learning more about Islam. These must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance, but no more than 1 month in advance. Each visit typically lasts around 1.5 hours, though we recommend setting aside 2 hours to allow ample time for:

      • A guided mosque tour
      • A 30–45 minute educational presentation on Islam
      • A Q&A session
      • Optional observation of a congregational prayer (depending on timing)

      While we do our best to accommodate your preferred date and time, final scheduling is subject to the availability of our volunteer speakers. Please be sure to provide alternative dates and times when submitting your request.
