Conditions of Payment
A non-refundable $500 deposit is required upon submitting your entry form to secure your place at Australia’s Greatest Horsewoman 2026.
The balance of all fees (including entry, camping, and stabling) must be paid in full by 30th January 2026.

Full Payment is required on Entry for other associated classes are to be paid on booking.

Reining and Cutting Entries Close 29th January 2026 No entries will be accepted after this date.

Entries Close: 31st December 2025
Entries received after this date will incur a Late Entry Fee of $150.
No entries will be accepted after 10th February 2026.

Upon receipt of your deposit, your place will be confirmed for Australia’s Greatest Horsewoman and any associated events you are entering, including:

The Cowgirl Up Challenge
Open Cutting
Open Reining
The Horsewoman’s Touch Colt Start *
Ladies Freestyle Liberty Challenge *
(Separate entry forms will be provided for the classes marked with an asterisk.)
Camping and stable fees are required to be paid with the final payment.

Please note places are capped in each class.

Payment Plans
If you require a payment plan, this must be pre-arranged with The Australian Cowgirl Co. prior to submitting your entry form.
Payment plans will be made in three instalments, with all payments finalised by 30th January 2026.

Refund & Cancellation Policy
All payments, including deposits, are non-refundable.
If the event is postponed, your entry and payments will automatically transfer to the rescheduled date, and your place will remain secured.

Should you choose to withdraw from the event, no refund will apply, except in the following cases:

A Vet Certificate is provided confirming the horse is unsound to compete
A Medical Certificate is provided for the rider
In either case, a cancellation fee of $280, plus any applicable administrative fees, will apply.
In the event of a date change, a cancellation fee will apply to all refunds should you choose not to attend the new date.

Important Note
Competitor places are limited — early payment is strongly encouraged to secure your spot.

Competitors/Clinic Participants are the only riders permitted to ride at the venueRiders must not ride at venue until indemnity has been signed.All riders are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and display good sportsmanship.All riders will be required to present for a gear check & horse health check prior to competing.Australia’s Greatest Horsewoman competitors must ride in the same gear for all phases, failure to do so will incur elimination, there will be a gear check for each round.Horse welfare is paramount. Any rider displaying any cruelty, excessive riding/excessive warming up, excessive use of gear etc will be eliminated and asked to leave the premises immediately. This is at the discretion of the committee.Bump in for competitors will be from 4pm - 6pm Tuesday 16th April and 4-6pm Wednesday 17th April Bump out by 12pm Monday 22nd April 2024There will be open pen for competitors on evenings after completion of the days events, time slots will be allocated for discipline specific open pen riding, times to be confirmed and posted in competitor page/s.Riders must ride with gear accordingly - shank bit must be ridden one handed in every section, snaffle bit/Bosal ridden two handed. No gag bits, nose bands, tie downs. If you are unsure about a piece of gear please email the team with your enquire. Failure to do so will result in elimination from the round.Stables are to be emptied out completely at the conclusion of the event, failure to do so will incur a $110 cleaning fee.Judges decision is final. Any complaints should be given in writing to the officeThe committee has the final say. Our Intention is for everyone to enjoy the event so please talk to us with any issue that may arise, to ensure the event runs as smoothly as possible.In the case of an issue arising the correct complaint/dispute procedure must be followed. If a competitor wishes to make a complaint about anything pertaining to the competition or if a competitor wishes to challenge a decision made in relation to the competition it must be done so in writing and emailed to the committee up until 10pm of the day of the round and/or competition.Poor sportsmanship &/or negative/aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated.A participant should never speak to or about the organizing committee and extended volunteers and helpers in a defamatory manner including and not limited to social media platforms.Participants are prohibited from competing/participating under the influence of Alcohol or non prescription drugsRiders and companion person only are permitted in the warm up arena while events are on, and only competitors and officials are permitted in the main arena for open pen times.Competitors companion person is not permitted to ride at the venueA competitor will only receive One (1) companion pass - AGHW competitors only. Open Class competitors do not receive a companion pass.A companion pass holder must be over 18 and must sign an indemnity waiver on arrival.A companion pass does not provide the holder grandstand seatingCompetitors are required to be present at all presentations, should a competitor fail to attend they may forfeit their place, unless show management/office has been notified prior to presentation time.Junior competitors are not permitted to compete on a Stallion.Junior competitors are required to be 12 years and above as at the 1st of January of the competition year.Junior competitors are required to wear an approved helmet at all times while riding.Minimum age of all competitors horses is to be 4 years old, as at the 1st January in the competition year (This does not include the Colt Start)I give The Australian Cowgirl permission to use my bio and images for social media promotion and the program of Australia's Greatest Horsewoman Event.I agree to prove the event that I am participating in on all of my social platforms tagging and mentioning the Major event sponsor/s of the event I am posting aboutDogs - Dogs are permitted in the camping area only and in accordance with the rules of the Greater Shepparton Council, dogs are required to be on a leash at all times. Dogs are NOT permitted in the Arenas, Food Van, Arena Entrance areas and cannot be tied up around the these locations.AGHW is a licensed event and there is NO BYO alcohol into the Red Line Area which includes - Warm Up Arena, Main Arena, Stables Trade Show, All Spectator Areas and Food Van Areas.Camp sites are to be left clean and clear of all rubbish and any Horse poo.As Per the rules of the Greater Shepparton Council - Fire Pits are not permitted on site.
