  • ABOUT

    Our mission:

    • Elixir Bartending Academy is committed to training aspiring bartenders to provide an exceptional service adequately and responsibly to consumers during the distribution and consumption of alcohol.

    • Welcome! Elixir Bartending Academy is owned and operated by a licensed and experienced bartender. What makes us unique? Psychology! Our founder has earned several degrees in the field of psychology and has studied several theoretical frameworks revolving around learning and human behavior. Combined with her knowledge and experience as a bartender, she uses borrowed therapeutic techniques to develop a course that facilitates behavior modification and skill acquisition.

    • Your journey to mastering mixology begins here. This course provides an in-depth explanation of several components to barkeeping. You will be well versed in the jargon used within the industry, tips on customer service routine regimen, and customary procedures that are imperative to the upkeep and smooth production of a bar.

    • The intro to mixology segment will prepare students to individually formulate their cocktails tailored to guests taste preferences. The intro to wine and beer segment will teach you how to categorize, making it easier to serve based on pallet and/or dining pairings.

    • Most importantly, our students leave this course TIPs certified. TIPS (Training for Intervention ProcedureS) is a dynamic, skills-based training program designed to prevent intoxication, drunk driving, and underage drinking by enhancing the fundamental "people skills" of servers, sellers and consumers of alcohol.
    • TIPS gives individuals the knowledge and confidence they need to recognize potential alcohol-related problems and intervene to prevent alcohol-related tragedies.
    • There are two days of lecture + hands on instruction (5 hours/ea). Day 3= talent showcase (2 hours). Students will be given the opportunity to network with potential employers and make cocktails for them.

Students are encouraged to invite friends/family to enjoy cocktails for a 2 hour period. guests recieve 2 tickets for a complimentary cocktail with the expectation that student bartenders will be tipped for their services. Any cocktail over (2) will be a $5 charge that will go towards a donation for Elixir Bartending Academy to be able to continue to provide resources to showcase new talent.
