Destined 4 GreatnessYouth & Young Adult Camp!

This unique, complimentary youth and young adult retreat and overnight camp experience will provide valuable educational workshops and breakout sessions filled with resources for character and leadership development, networking with peers, self-sufficiency for academic and personal success and goal setting to prepare participants for navigating through the journey of life.

Destined 4 Greatness will be held in person on March 20-21, 2026, at the Latham Springs Camp & Retreat Center for youth ages 10 - 17 years old and young adults ages 18 - 24 years old.

** All youth 10-17 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone.

One chaperone for every four minors is required. **

This year's theme will encourage youth participants to keep moving forward spiritually, not get stuck in past failures or successes, but continually grow and pursue God’s purpose for their lives. Workshop topics and activities at Destined 4 Greatness may include:

Destined 4 Greatness will include a variety of indoor and outdoor age appropriate activities for all participants. The activities below are optional and may incur a fee.

Boating - Boating includes the cool and clear Lake Latham, a 7-acre spring-fed lake with boating marina with paddle boats. (Included for all registered participants)Bazooka Ball - Bazooka ball is very similar to paintball except you shoot 2″ diameter foam "nerf” style balls. Lots of fun and a great option for both kids and adults. (Per person rate)Zip Line - Ziplining is an outdoor activity where you ride a cable between two points while attached to a harness and pulley reaching three hundred feet. (Per person rate)Giant Swing - Three participants are harnessed up and lifted to the top of the swing. From there, participants release the swing and are taken for the ride of a lifetime. This year, we’re calling all rising stars to step into the spotlight! If you’re gifted in dance, singing, or spoken word, this is your moment to shine. Come share your talent, inspire others, and celebrate the greatness God has placed inside you. Prizes will be awarded.

Participant Rules

1. Content & Message
All performances must be appropriate, respectful, and uplifting.
Content should align with Christian values and reflect positive themes such as faith, hope, love, joy, encouragement, or personal growth. No profanity, sexual content, violence, or disrespectful language is allowed. Poetry and spoken word must be clean and age-appropriate. All content must be presented prior to camp for approval. A Dropbox link will be sent to participants to upload videos of song and dance and spoken word documentation for approval by March 13, 2026.

2. Music & Lyrics (Singing/Dancing)
Songs must be Christian or clean, positive, and values-based.
Any music with questionable lyrics or themes will not be approved.
Instrumental tracks are allowed but must be submitted in advance.
No explicit or suggestive dance moves.

3. Time Limits
Performances must be 1–2 minutes maximum.
Acts that exceed the time limit may be stopped to keep the program on schedule.

4. Performance Types
Solo or group performances are allowed. Singing may be a cappella or with music. Dancing must be modest and appropriate. Poetry/spoken word must be memorized or read clearly (paper allowed if needed).

5. Dress Code
Attire must be modest, appropriate, and suitable for a Christian camp environment. No clothing with offensive words, images, or messages.
Shoes are required unless the performance has prior approval.

6. Respect & Sportsmanship
All participants must encourage and respect one another.
No negative comments, gestures, or behavior before, during, or after performances. Applaud all performers—everyone is brave for sharing their gifts!

7. Preparation & Check-In
Participants must check in on time and be ready when called.
Late arrivals may lose their performance spot. Practice ahead of time to ensure confidence and smooth transitions.

8. Equipment & Props
Simple props are allowed but must be safe and approved.
No fire, liquids, sharp objects, or dangerous items.
Camp staff are not responsible for lost or damaged personal items.

9. Judging
Performances will be judged on effort, creativity, confidence, clarity, and positive message, not perfection. Judges’ decisions are final.

10. Purpose Reminder
This talent show is about glorifying God, building confidence, and celebrating creativity. Everyone’s gift matters—do your best and have fun!
