  • On behalf of our faculty and staff, we extend to you a warm welcome to InnoTech College. As you pursue your career in the Technology Industry, you will find that our program and faculty will give you an important head start. We have designed this comprehensive curriculum to teach you all the fundamentals of Full-Stack Development. Our experienced Instructors are motivated to help you learn, progress, and ensure that you succeed. We are here to help you achieve your career goals and are firmly committed to your success. As you look through the Student Handbook, you will have a chance to learn more about our program. If you have any questions, just ask one of our Administrators. We look forward to helping you succeed, in every way we can.

  • PROGRAM PREFERENCE

  • Please note that classes run 3 days per weekdays and also on weekends. Virtual class offerings are taught live through ZOOM. The in- person offerings designated to a particular city, will be held at that city's campus.

  • ADMISSION

  • Alberta high school diploma, verified by transcript, or non-Alberta Canadian equivalent, verified by transcript,

    International students who have received their high school diploma outside of Canada, must have their secondary school diploma or equivalent verified through International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) or World Education Services (WES) to be eligible for admission to the program. Completed post secondary education, verified by transcript or proof of graduation.

    18 years of age. Mature students must complete an academic achievement/aptitude test and must have achieved a minimum required score. Innotech College uses the Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam (SLE) The Minimum required score is 18.

  • DOCUMENT DELIVERY

  • All of this information will be mailed or emailed to students after the completion date. Please ensure that InnoTech College has your current address and is aware of any change of address following graduation.

  • INVESTMENT & PAYMENT TERMS

  • InnoTech College's goal is to make the accessibility of the Full-Stack Development Diploma program as easy as possible, and as such, aside from paying for their tuition and having a functioning computer, students are not required to acquire any additional learning tools, like textbooks or software. All resources used within the program will be provided to them at no additional cost.

    Total Tuition Fees = CDN$14,822.00

    When enrolling in the program, students will be required to pay a $100 enrollment fee, which will then be deducted from the total tuition amount. The enrollment fee secures the student's spot in the program and is due at the time of enrollment.

    Tuition is eligible for a tax deduction credit. No GST will be charged, as education tuition is GST exempt.

    GOVERNMENT STUDENT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE TO ELIGIBLE STUDENTS.

    $100 is due upon enrollment. Remainder of tuition (CDN$14277.34) is due by the 1st day of classes

    Payment Plan:

    Tuition is split up into 4 payments in the following manner:

    “We offer a 5-day grace period. A $50 late fee applies afterward. Missed payments beyond 15 days may result in academic suspension.”

  • RULES & REGULATIONS

    1. Students must show respect to all fellow students, instructors and staff.
    2. School fees must be paid in full on the agreed-upon dates or students will not receive a diploma, may not receive any job placement assistance and/or may be expelled from the program. 
    3. Students must not conduct themselves in an unruly manner while completing any component of their diploma program, and students must abide by the professional rules while working with any industry partners of the school.
    4. Students must follow all classroom-set expectations throughout the program (virtual or otherwise).
    5. Students must not interfere with the progress of other students.
    6. Students must have all the required equipment and supplies available for use in class. Virtual offerings require a functioning internet connection. 
    7. Plagiarism, cheating or theft may be grounds for immediate expulsion.
    8. Any student suspected to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol during class will be removed from the in-person or video classroom and may be subject to expulsion from the program.
    9. Anger management must always be practiced.
    10. Students must not miss more than 10 classes or expulsion will result.
    11. Students must maintain an overall grade of 60% or higher.
    12. Approval for government funding from the institution's side is subject to attendance.
    13. Class timings and program start dates are subject to change based on total student attendance.

    Violation of any of these rules subjects a student to possible expulsion. A violation, or risk of violation, of the rules will cause a written warning to be issued. Any three [3] warnings followed by an additional incident could lead to expulsion. In the event of a violation of the rules, which are deemed to be severe, the student could be expelled from InnoTech College immediately.

  • ATTENDANCE & PUNCTUALITY

  • Students are expected to come to class or sign into the virtual classroom on time each class day and remain present/visible for the entirety of the class. It will be the responsibility of the student to gather material missed due to absences or lateness. Any student that misses more than 10 classes will be disqualified from receiving a diploma.

  • WITHDRAWAL POLICY

  • 1. If a student wishes to withdraw from the program, they must provide InnoTech with a signed notice, that verifies the date the notice was provided to the school. They will then be considered withdrawn on the date that the signed written notice is received by the school.

    2. Any tuition refunds that the student is eligible for, at the time of their withdrawal, will be issued to them or their funding body, whichever is applicable, within a reasonable period after the withdrawal date.

  • PRIVACY POLICY

  • InnoTech College collects students' personal information for the following reasons:

    To maintain student records as required by the Alberta Ministry of Advanced Education To keep students/graduates informed of activities of the Academy To issue T2202As in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency. Students authorize that these be provided by email.

    Students' personal information is not used for any other purpose without obtaining permission

    Procedure for access to the information on file:

    1. Students wishing to access the information in the student file must make a written/email request. 2. Administration will arrange a virtual/physical meeting with the student to review the file and will provide copies of any document the student requests.

    Procedure for authorizing release of information:

    1.If a student wishes to authorize a third party to access information in his/her student file, he/she must do so in writing/email 2. The school will not release information to any person other than people authorized by the student to access information unless required to do so by legislation, a subpoena, court order or if release is necessary as part of an ongoing police investigation. 3. In the rare case of an emergency, provide an emergency

  • FINANCIAL AID

  • As a support service to our students, InnoTech accesses the loan status website and automated phone-line system to track the progress of student aid applications.

    I understand that InnoTech may use my date of birth, social insurance number, and loan application number to monitor my loan application status.

    I am aware that student loan applications are processed by qualified assessors from the Provincial and Federal governments and that no InnoTech College employee has any influence to determine the outcome of a government student assistance loan application.

    I understand the student loan award I may or may not receive from Student Aid may or may not be adequate to cover costs for registration, books and materials, and agree to be responsible for all remaining monies owed to the College.

    Furthermore, I am aware that if all school fees, are remitted to InnoTech College directly through my Student Aid application, I will not have direct access to these funds and that only any remaining funds will be at my disposal.

  • Program Objective

    The Full-Stack Development diploma is a 32-week program focused on the essential skills for web development, preparing students for a variety of roles in the tech industry. The program offers intensive, practical training in both front-end and back-end development, designed for efficient learning with hands-on coding and real-world projects.

    Admissions Requirements

    Standard Admissions Students:

    Alberta high school diploma, verified by transcript, or non-Alberta Canadian equivalent, verified by transcript, or a GED. 

    *International students who have received their high school diploma outside of Canada, must have their secondary school diploma or equivalent verified through International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) or World Education Services (WES) to be eligible for admission to the program. 

     Mature Admissions Students:

    Institution Program Information

    I reviewed the Student Rights and Responsibilities section of the Private Career Colleges Initial Here Branch's website located athttps://www.alberta.ca/student-rights-responsibilities.aspx.

    I acknowledge that the institution did not guarantee that completing this Program will lead to employment or specific wages/salary. (Section 22(1b) of the Private Vocational Training Regulation).

    I contacted potential employers and any relevant regulatory/professional bodies to determine if they will recognize this Program for employment and/or certification in a related Field.

    I received the Program outline, a written description of the Institution's rules and policies, and information about the most recent graduation and job placement rates for this Program.

    I toured the Institution and viewed the facilities and equipment available to students.

    I know how the Institution will deliver this Program (e.g. self-directed learning, online, traditional lecture. 

    I acknowledge that the Institution must provide me with a copy of this contract after I sign it.

    Admission Requirements

    I provided the Institution with the appropriate documentation to show that I meet the admission requirements for this Program.

    Applicable if under 16 years of age: I confirm that the Institution has obtained written approval from the Director of the Private Career Colleges Branch for me to enrol in this Program. (Section 12(3) of the Private Vocational Training Regulation

    Withdrawals/Terminations

    I am aware that the Institution must terminate my enrolment in this Program by providing me with written notice (Section 13(1) of the Private Vocational Training Regulation).

    I understand that I must provide written notice to the Institution if I wish to withdraw from the Program and terminate this contract (Section 13(1) of the Private Vocational Training Regulation Such notice must be provided in a manner that I can verify the date the notice was delivered to the Institution.

    I understand that this contract is terminated on the date that the written notice is delivered (Section 13(3) of the Private Vocational Training Regulation). 

    I understand that I must notify my funding source of my withdrawal or the termination of this contract if I am receiving student financial assistance.

    Fee Payments and Tuition Refunds

    I have reviewed the Tuition Refunds section of the Private Career Colleges branch's website located at https://www.alberta.ca/tuition-refunds.aspx.

    I understand that the Institution may charge me a registration fee of up to $500, which it must credit toward my unpaid tuition fees (Section 14 of the Private Vocational Training Regulation The Institution may retain this fee if I do not attend the Program unless:

    • I terminate this contract within four business days of signing it (Section 15 of the Private Vocational Training Regulation).
    • The Institution terminates this contract before the Program begins (Section 16(2) (a) of the Private Vocational Training Regulation)
    • The Program does not begin by the start date in Part C of this contract and I choose to terminate this contract as a result (Section 16(2b) of the Private Vocational Training Regulation

    I understand that the school cannot require or accept payment of the registration fee until I have signed this student contract and cannot accept payment of any other tuition or any incidental fees before my Program begins (Section 14(2) of the Private Vocational Training Regulation).

    I understand that if this contract is terminated after the Program begins the Institution is entitled to the payment of tuition fees as outlined in Section 17 of the Private Vocational Training Regulation which is as follows:

    • 25% of the total tuition fees as identified in Part C: Program Cost of this contract if 10% or less of the Program is provided 
    • 60% of the total tuition fees as identified in Part C: Program Cost of this contract if more than 10% but less than 50% of the Program is provided 
    • 100% if more than 50% of the Program is provided. 

    I understand that if I paid more tuition than the Institution is entitled to under Section 17(1), the Institution must refund me the difference. 

    I understand that any refund that the Institution is required to pay will be paid to the source of payment for my tuition fees (i.e. the student, Government, agency, or person other than the student) and/or to any outstanding student loan where applicable (Section 21 of the Private Vocational Training Regulation).

    I understand that the Institution may withhold my credentials if I do not pay my fees in full at the time of graduation. 

    Student Complaints 

    I have reviewed the Student Complaints section of the Private Career Colleges Branch's website located at https://www.alberta.ca/student-complaints.aspx. 

    I will first address any concerns I have regarding the Program through the Institution's student complaint process. 

    If my complaint is not resolved through the Institution's student complaint process, I have 6 months from my last date of attendance in the Program to contact the Private Career Colleges Branch, Alberta Advanced Education by visiting https://privatecareercolleges.alberta.ca/.

    Student Information

    Upon graduation, I agree to provide the Institution with information regarding my employment status, and my employer's name and telephone number.

    I acknowledge having read the Privacy Notice relating to the collection of personal information by Alberta Advanced Education in Part C of this contract
