2024 Omicron Omega Omega Scholarship Application

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is the oldest Greek-letter organization established by college-educated African American women. This illustrious organization was founded in 1908 on the campus of Howard University in Washington, DC. Grounded in service to mankind, this international sorority gives back to local and global communities via various philanthropic endeavors. This year, the Omicron Omega Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® will award eight (8) scholarships to African American high school seniors attending college in the Fall of 2025. These scholarships will be awarded in various categories, including education, community service, financial need and attendance at a Historically Black College and University.
Eligibility Criteria

1. African-American or African Diaspora graduating high school senior

2.     Currently attending high school in Moore County or Hoke County, North Carolina

3.     Accepted into college and planning to begin in the Summer or Fall of 2025.

4.     High character

5.     Financial Need

6.     Minimum Grade Point Average of 2.5

7.     Immediate family members (children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, in-laws) of members of the Omicron Omega Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® are not eligible to apply.
Application Process

1. Secure an application packet from your high school counselor or apply using the electronic forms and/or documents on this page.

2. If completing a physical application, please type your responses.

- Recommendation letters (2): one academic recommendation & one non-academic recommendation

Applications must be postmarked or received by your school counselor by Wednesday, April 30, 2025

Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Scholarship awards are meant to offset the cost of tuition, fees, books, supplies, or equipment for a first-year full-time college student. Please note that these funds are not meant to replace any other college funds you have been awarded in your school’s financial aid packet. Awards will be disbursed directly to the college or university by September 30, 2025. Registration for college is required. All scholarship awards must be formally accepted and claimed by December 31, 2025. Failure to complete the necessary acceptance procedures by this date will result in the forfeiture of the scholarship.
