  • Submission of this form is required to request a guided tour for a school. Requests cannot be made via phone or email. A request is not a guarantee of the reservation. Guided tour reservations require at least 3 weeks' notice to ensure availability and space within the center. Guided tour reservations cannot be made further than one year out from the date of the request. Guided tours can accommodate a minimum of 20 participants (including all students and adults) and a maximum of 50 participants (including all students and adults).

    Guided tours are offered September to May, Monday through Friday, and include an educator-led tour through the Georgia Sea Turtle Center Learning Center with a guaranteed presentation in our rehabilitation pavilion where we house our current sea turtle patients. 

    Guided tour:

    Children (4-12) - $20/person, before tax

    Adults (13+) - $20/person, before tax

  • Group Reservation Agreement

    Please read these terms carefully, as you will be expected to abide by each one.
    • For quality programming and fire code safety, guided tours are limited to 50 total participants per reservation. 
    • Tax-exempt documentation (ST-5/0053 or State of Georgia Letter of Exemption) (if applicable) must be received within a week of receiving notification from the GSTC Reservations Department of the confirmed reservation. Appropriate tax-exempt documentation must be received in advance and will not be accepted on walk up. 
    • Participant alterations must be emailed to gstcreservations@jekyllisland.com immediately, but no later than 72 hours prior to your reservation.
    • Parent chaperones should be included in the participant total provided from the organization. Additional chaperones are not permitted to pay general admission separately and join a guided tour reservation.
    • Final payment is due on arrival (single payment method) prior to your group entering the facility. For group reservations, we can only accept a check or credit card for payment. For Georgia tax exempt entities, payment must be made via check or credit card with your organization’s logo and address information.
    • No refunds will be given for absent participants once final payment has been received. The Georgia Sea Turtle Center reserves the right to receive payment for additional services rendered above and beyond the agreed/stated programs. 
    • Cancellations must be received in advance by email notification to gstcreservations@jekyllisland.com. Answering machine messages do not constitute notification. Groups who cancel less than one week ahead of their reservation may be subject to a non-refundable deposit to rebook with the Georgia Sea Turtle Center. 
    • The GSTC reserves the right to change or cancel the confirmed tour plan for late arrivals. If your group is running behind schedule, immediately call 912.635.4076, but no less than 15 minutes ahead of your visit.
    • For the health, safety, and welfare of participants and others, the GSTC reserves the right to establish and enforce rules, regulations, and standards of behavior for groups. Any violation of these rules, regulations, or standards, as communicated in reservation confirmation materials, may result in dismissal from the premise.
    • Use of electronic games or portable media players is prohibited during guided tours.
    • Smoking is prohibited in all facilities either occupied or controlled by the JIA. Smoking outside JIA facilities must be at least fifty (50) feet away from the structures.
    • Food and beverages are not permitted inside the Georgia Sea Turtle Center except for water bottles. 
    • The GSTC reserves the right to cancel a confirmed reservation with limited notice due to circumstances beyond its control if it deems it unable to offer a quality programmatic experience. In the case of a cancellation by the GSTC, the booking party will receive a full refund and will be extended the opportunity to reschedule.
    • Force Majeure Clause: Each Party shall be excused from performance under this Agreement for any period and to the extent that it is prevented from performing any of its obligations under this Agreement in whole or in part, because of delays caused by an act of God, natural disaster, power interruption, court order, third party nonperformance, or other cause, events or circumstances beyond its reasonable control (a Force Majeure Event). Such non-performance will not be a default under this Agreement nor a ground for termination of this Agreement so long as the excused Party makes reasonable efforts to remedy, if and to the extent reasonably possible, the cause for such non-performance.
