Facilitator Regulations
Mister and Miss HBCU is a prestigious organization with a 21-year history dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders. Upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism is paramount to us, which is why we have established robust facilitator regulations.
These guidelines ensure that all presenters bring their extensive expertise and relevant credentials and engage participants in meaningful, interactive ways that align with our theme, "Empowering Black Men: Embracing the 'We Are Kings' Mindset for Leadership and Success." We aim to foster an enriching and impactful experience for all attendees, maintaining the excellence and ethical standards that have defined our organization for over two decades.
Facilitator Regulations
1. Voluntary Service: Presenters are asked to serve voluntarily and will not receive monetary compensation for their participation.
2. Professional Credentials: Presenters must robustly demonstrate professional credentials related to their topic and/or area of expertise. This may include educational qualifications, professional experience, and relevant certifications.
3. Content Relevance: Presentations should be directly relevant to the theme, "Empowering Black Men: Embracing the 'We Are Kings' Mindset for Leadership and Success," and tailored to address the needs and interests of HBCU Kings.
4. Workshop Objectives: All workshops should have clear, specific objectives and learning outcomes to provide practical tools and knowledge that participants can apply in their personal and professional lives.
5. Engagement: Presenters are encouraged to use interactive methods to engage participants actively. This can include discussions, Q&A sessions, activities, and real-world applications.
6. Professional Conduct: Presenters are expected to maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, including punctuality, respect for all participants, and adherence to the summit’s code of ethics.
7. Non-Commercial Focus: Presentations should not be used as a platform for directly promoting products or services. Any references to commercial products should be relevant and educational rather than promotional.
8. Presentation Materials: All presentation materials (e.g., slides, handouts) should be submitted for review no later than November 1, 2024. This ensures alignment with the event’s standards and objectives.
9. Accessibility: Presenters should ensure their materials and delivery methods are accessible to all participants, including those with disabilities.
10. Time Management: Presenters are asked to adhere strictly to their allotted time slots to ensure the smooth running of the event schedule.
11. Feedback: Presenters should be open to receiving feedback from participants and event organizers to improve the quality and impact of their sessions continuously.
12. Follow-Up: Where applicable, presenters are encouraged to provide follow-up resources or support for participants who may have further questions or require additional guidance after the summit.
13. Media Coverage: As a token of our appreciation, our marketing staff will provide presenters with brief complimentary media coverage of their session. This coverage can be used at the presenters' leisure. Please note that external photographers and videographers are not permitted to ensure consistency and quality of the media produced.
