Picture Instructions and Submission
This page gives instructions on how to take a photo to submit with this questionnaire. Computer analysis of the photo will provide key measurements used for body typing, so it is an important part of developing your nutritional plan.
As in the example, the photo needs to show from above the shoulders to below the crotch. To avoid distortion resulting from perspective, it's best to take the picture from 10+ feet away. The camera should be straight out from the center of your torso so that the camera angle is parallel to the ground. You can then either crop the photo to the required area, or we can crop it for you. Stand with your feet at least 1 foot apart. We must be able to follow the sillouette of your body, so form fitting clothes are important. If possible stand against a contrasting backgound.
To get the proper measurements we need you to identify two landmarks, the bottom of your ribcage, and the top of your hip bone. Feel for the bottom of your ribcage and use tape with an arrow, as shown. Another easily visible method, such as a string tied around your torso, parallel to the ground, may be used. Next, feel your side for the top of your hip bone and indicate it's location with the center of your fingertip, as shown. For the photo don't press your skin in, just make light contact. Try to keep your shoulders fairly level. If you have any questions drop us an email at chris@mobilebodymetrics.com.
