Whether you have 1 hour or 4 hours, we have volunteer opportunities that can accommodate your schedule.
Make a big difference in a small amount of time. You can participate at the school events or by collecting items for students in need. Check the event box you are interested in:

Career Day Speaker or Career Fair- Do you wish more students knew about the passion and joy of your chosen career or vocation? Share your career experience and knowledge with students through a guest speaker presentation. Presentations range from 30 minutes to 3 hours, depending on your schedule.Reading Day- Do you enjoy books and good literature, especially hope to spark that love in children? If so, this may be perfect for you; Reading Days typically begin with “coffee talk” with campus administration and are followed by four 15-minute classroom rotations. Volunteers read a book to an elementary school classroom and engage in conversations to inspire students to read and build their knowledge. Virtual OnlyHoliday Giving- The holidays can be the best time of the year, especially when you are able to provide gifts or meals to students who would otherwise go without. Get involved by collecting coats, food baskets, or presents. Donations needed, November through December.XY Zone Man of Honor Event Chaperone - Positive male role models are needed to serve as a chaperone during field trips and college tours for the XY Zone male leadership program.

Girl Scout Troop Leader - Do you remember the thrill of earning badges and participating in the activities of being a brownie, or girl scout, or never got to be one? Make those wonderful experiences possible for other young women by leading, guiding, and cheering on the girls in your designated campus for the duration of the school year. Don’t worry, the Girl Scout curriculum will be provided to you by the Girl Scouts organization and our Site Coordinator will handle all the logistics of your troop. *Additional Girl Scouts training required.Junior Achievement Leader- Volunteer to help students understand the concepts of personal finaical planning and career exploration. *Additional Junior Achievment Training required.Pen Pal - Volunteer to build a satisfying and fun relationship between you and a child through the letters you exchange. Share your words of encouragement and knowledge on a bi-weekly basis with an elementary school student. This program helps students develop their writing skills while connecting them with a supportive adult. The school year typically begins and ends with a face-to-face celebration on campus but all other interaction can be done at home or office.Strengths Mentor - You can help guide a high school student to create hope, resilience, and confidence by simply being there and to encourage them to understand that their inherent talents can positively shape their approach to school, decision-making, relationships, work and more. Students will be given introductory learning sessions by Strengths Coaches. Mentors do not need to have previous experience and will be given a suggested curriculum and resources to follow. They will meet for approximately 1-hour,( *mostly virtually) same day and time each week throughout the school year. The program typically begins and ends with face-to-face meetings on campus. Virtual 3-hour mentor additional training required.XY ZONE Man of Honor Group Leader - Serve as a role model to young men by co-facilitating a weekly 1-hour lesson with a CIS Site Coordinator and help students engage in volunteerism and leadership activities.*Additional Girl Scouts training required.
