The Miss Florida's Outstanding Teen Competition is the little sister program to the Miss Florida Scholarship Competition and was deleveloped to encourage positive achievement by helping to nurture and build scholastic achievement, creative accomplishements, healthy living and community involvement of the young ladies of Florida.
The Outstanding Teen program serves as a platform which encourages and rewards the talents, comunicaton skills, community service, and academic achievements of young ladies between the age of 13 and 17 years of age.
The At-large program allows those candidates that have not won a title at the local competition the opportunity to compete at the state competition and possibly represent Florida at the National Miss America's Outstanding Teen Competition. The eligibility requirements for an At-Large candidate is as follows:
Must be a resident of Florida for the last six months.
Must be at least thirteen (13) years of age on June 08, 2020, the first day of the state competition.
Must not be older than seventeen (17) years of age on July 31, 2020, unless she is 18 years old and has not graduated from high school as of July 31, 2020.
Meet the Guidelines set forth by the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Organization State contract, Section 2. Contract will be provided upon acceptance.
Candidates are required to attend Miss Florida/Miss Florida's Outstanding Teen Competition Orientation in Lakeland, FL April 18-19th, 2020.
Candidates are required to attend Miss Florida's Outstanding Teen Competition in Lakeland, FL June 8-13th, 2020.
Candidates are required to sell at least one (1) full-page advertisement for the Miss Florida/Miss Florida's Outstanding Teen Competition Magazine.
Candidates are required to purchase pre-selected Opening Number and Fitnesswear attire.
The Miss Florida Scholarship Program will provide incentives to Candidate to off-set competition expenses.
A candidate may NOT hold a title from any other pageant system while participating in the Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen Program.
